My current board is an Abit and it has the same idiotic problem and I absolutely hate the board because of it. It's great to not know whether your CPU is burning up or not when you're overclocking. Right now my CPU is reading as 64 C. Is it actually 64? Is it 54? 44? Who the ^&$(# knows.
Sorry if I sound bitter, but I was really looking forward to buying an AN8 Ultra and I'm gonna hate having to buy another board because they can't fix a stupid little problem that's been affecting their boards for years.
