Got 2 Sandys 3700+ 0516WPAW, serial number in series. Had very little time to play with one of them last night on Thermaltake Sonic Tower aircooling. Keeping the memory speed down, it completed SuperPi 1M at 2500 Mhz. Then, 2700Mhz 1.55 Vcore in bios was a no go, 2800Mhz with Clockgen got an immediate reboot. I'll try more, of course, but it doesn't look too encouraging right now...

mrlobber bad news i think on air a 3Dmark run at 2750 @ 1.7 it's your best shot. Crappy series 0516WPAW tried 2 of them myself.

Yeah, seems to be so. Tried both cpu's, none of them was able to complete SuperPi 1M higher than 2500 Mhz with default Vcore (keeping the memory speed down), and higher than 2680 Mhz with 1.6Vcore.

I had same issues as you did with the vcore and ocing. Then I got another DFI ultra D and now I can do 2905 mhz 100% stable @ 1.6vcore. I am sure it has to do with the VRs on some of these boards not being as stable. DFI said that they would RMA my old board without issue. Just a thought for ya.

^Dumo, is that an LS, or some sort of cascade setup that you are getting this speed??

I was worried about the FX55BN having a cold bug, but from the looks of it it shouldn't be a problem..

Hm, an idea to consider. Anyway, I bought one of these cpu's for a friend (not that he would now be very happy right now about it :rolleyes: :D ), so he will test it on his DFI anyway, maybe something interesting pops out indeed.

Well mine runs 3d mark stable up to 2800 and benches sisoft and prime to almost 2900. I am using the boxed cooler! and AS5. I see temps max at 44 under load. I am running 1.6 volts for all of my benching. I am running a NEO platinum 2 board and I can't seem to figure out how to get it to run 1t timings. I have HYnix D43 that does 270 stable with 2.5,4,4,8 timings. The best I have gotten in 3d01 so far is just 31200. I have a really nice overclocking vid card too. x800xt AIW that does 573 on air and no mods. I know I would see a big increase with 1t timing.....Help. A64 tweaker?

@MrL: Burnin?

My Venice had same issues, wouldn't boot at anything over 2.5-2.6G. Same for my SD.
There maybe some breakin time like a day @ highest stable speed on OCCT ( match max mem to your system) and see if that helps?

I have some more experiments to try tomorrow :hrhr:

Im kinda happy .. yes. 3400+ Mhz is a 1200Mhz OC and not too bad :)

I can do 3350Mhz rock stable @ 1.5v .. more voltage does´t help very much. With watercooling it tops out at 1.45-1.5

I need to remove the HS, and add some more r507. I might get 3500Mhz 1M stable.

But what if I wreck the chip when mounting the evap... :O

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could give me an esitimate of around what temps I should be getting with my 3700+ SD under water with a 6800U being cooled in the loop, right now at stock speeds I'm getting 39C idle with my gpu at 51C idle, is that normal as far as for the cpu?

I get about that with 1.7v (31-50C). I have GPU in the loop and the same chip.

With my setup I'm idling around 29 C and loading around 41 C with 1.53v with normal ambient/room temps. During a really hot summer with the same voltage I'd load around 48 C.

Hmmm... 51 IDle on GPU ? :confused: I dont get that under full load and idle around 40 C . What kind of watercooling is that ? :nono:

Where are you guys getting the SuperPi sse3 tweak because I cant get near what yall are with same speed but bh-5 at 264 2-2-2-5.
