I don't have a multimeter to see how this psu is doing. But the man that get 2.7GHz with the """same""" Venice as mine, has the same PSU, same cooling... too. And he has a X850XTPE, I just have 6600GT.
Thanks ;)Quote:

Just got mine:
3000+ venice
LBBLE 0517 DPMW
Running right now at 300*9=2700mhz 1,4v with stock hsf (51C at full load)
Prime stable for 1 hour so far.
Seems like a fine chip :=)
I'd like to know where these 0517s are coming from. :slobber:Quote:

running 2700mhz @ 1.66v , not bad (running on water)
but i cannot boot under -8C with dry ice, any one got the same issues ?
I got one too:
Venice 3000+ Retail from mWave.com:
LBBLE 0515 APAW
Currently overclocked to: 9x276MHz Prime95 stable and pushing for more.
(Runs 9x333MHz stable just not prime stable. Slowing tweaking and tuning for stable 2.7GHz+)
I'm just wondering, how much voltage can I really give it? I'm not afraid to push the
volts, I had 2.225v in my 2100+ T-Bred "B" back in the day. Still works to the day.
Think I have any of these set too high? :stick:

I was going to place an order with newegg for a 3000 venice. Has anyone had any good luck on the batches that they have in stock? I really would be happy with a 2ghz -2.5 GHZ Air cooled O/C I am going to use:
Psupply: 600 Watt OCZ PowerStream
Board: DFI Ultra-D
CPU: 3000 Venice( newegg?)
Ram: OCZ Value Series 1GB (512MB)Winbond newegg link
Vid Card: Gigabyte x800xlnewegg link
Ne Ideas on how the newegg chips are?
LBBLE0515APAW 3200+ Venice
Cooling: XP90 + Panaflo high speed, AS5

Stock Vcore set in bios, however, 2.8 will not stabilize no matter what i do
2.75 is rock solid at 1.475 Vcore

go down to 100 to get over 300mhz fsb.
Im useing the msi k8N2 with 2x corsair xms 4000 512mb(500mhz)
In 166 mode the ram is only running at 230mhz when i set the fsb to 280, still the computer restarts.
Anyone have any suggestions how to fix this?

Is your corsair memory able to run at 280 mhz?Quote:

Do you know your memory max reachable?
Your problem might be your mem in fact :)
Ive got a 3200 venice, with the following stepping
LBBLE 0518 APFW
I haven't seen another one around yet, must be a new batch, anyway here's my max HTT:

Still waiting for my Ultra-D to arrive so haven't tried much more yet. That result was on a K8NF-9.
Got Venice 3000+ 0517 APHW LBBLE running 325 Mhz x 9 (2.925 Mhz) 1.66v on water

I took out pair of Mushkin blue and found out something funny. I can't overclock anywhere near where I was with 1T on. It seems to be some kind of bios issue (2x512mb).... Using DFI-NF4 Ultra with my venice. Any clue on which bios works with the 1T UTT overclocked decently? These sticks did 2-2-2-5 245mhz 3.2v as a pair on winchester, 1T. Now I am stuck using 2T only with 2 sticks (was on 2t for 4 sticks before)...
There must be something I am missing.
Hi!
I just got my Venice 3200+ from NCIX (retail box). I was able to go up to 2.8 Ghz but it wasnt stable at all ( 280 * 10 ). I gave it more juice ( vcore = 1.55 v) and it's stable @ 2.7 Ghz (270 * 10) now. My max HTT was around 430. I did ( 430 * 6 ) and I was able to get in windows and get a SS. Temps are around 38 Idle and ~42 load with Zalman 7700Cu. Unfortunately, my ram is very bad. Corsair 3200LL @ 2-3-2-5 with 2.9V. I cant do more than 210 Mhz with these sticks. Memtest fails the last two tests which are #5 and #6 if I go any higher. So, I have to run a divider (3/4). Currently, I have my system stable @ 2.7 Ghz 1.55 V with a 3/4 divider.
First, What do u guys think of this OC? I know my ram is holding me back big time but I dont think that I could find anyone without waterchill stable above 2.8!!
Second, Do u have any suggestions on how I might get a better OC out of my current situation?
