if your going to use it with 3/8" tubing dont bother getting this pump at all.
Would it make a difference to run 3 Eheim 1048 pomps in series than just one :D I'm too lazy for testing it atm :p: 3 pomps in 1 case looks good imho :D
DD RBX amd64
DD z-chip
DD Maze4 gpu
HW blackice xs 2
IIRC, 2 1048s = 1 50z, so 3 1048s = 1.5 50zs ;)
how is iwaki magnet md-10?
thnx
weaker than the D5 IIRC
MD10 is useless
so im better off staying with my mcp-650?
thnx
MCP-655... the 650 is discontinued... its in my guide
if you already have it (which is how it sounds), yes.
thank you gentlemen :toast:
Sorry I just saw this thread but I have a few RD-20s and RD-30s left.Quote:

is that a 12 to 24volt converter you have there??
Just an FYI: you can not sell out side of the buy sell trade, and to which you have to have 100 posts to get into. So anyone interested in buying from mjgent will need to send him a PM. (this is assuming that he is actually selling)
Does anyone know how an Iwaki MD-20RZG orMD-20RZG-2 perform. They seem to not be online anywhere, yet many are sold on ebay
it looks to just be a 100v version.
Actually, it's a 12DCV to 24, 22, 19, 18, 16, 15DCV converter and it runs these pumps perfectly :DQuote:

I will have to add it.. Just havnt gotten to it.. The RD20 is as you mentioned much better suited to most system, where as the RD30 is for the super extreme systems with PA120.3's and Monstercores.
So where did you get this 12 to 24, 22 etc. converter? I need to add it to some of my guides.
The converter is the PST-P006-Universal over at Powerstream.com . It's designed to power most laptops from 12VDC (car cigarette lighter). The ends just need to have crimped on or soldered on a standard molex connector (PSU) and whatever connector you use to your pump. They recently changed the design and it's even more powerful now (4.5 amp, 120w max output) than the old one. The old one worked great and this one doesn't even break a sweat. I've modded the case on the new one (see pic) by milling cooling holes around the outside of the case but have used it before the mod w/o a problem. The new one measures 4.5"x2.5"x1.5" so it should fit in most cases.Quote:

hmm... 50 dollars isnt too bad.. Its not great, but its not horrid either.
For reference here's a pic of the RD-20 (right), RD-30 (middle), and the MCP655. The RDs are the same size.
