with vsync on dont go full speed unless needed like crysis 3, far cry 3 and hitman, but if i put vsnc off always loads 1306 to 1320 but my LCD aint 120hz so...it produces some traces on screen so i have to use Vsync

You guys been trying the new 3dmark or what?
Runs well on x79

Sucks it costs $25 otherwise I'd be keen to give it a go, I'm not paying for it!
for those who like game pics and games i added some more :) see a page back
You get a 25% discount when you get it from futuremark but i'm not trying to push it
I got it so i did not have to run all the stupid tests.
Its fast and to the point when it comes to benchmarks.
Smooth power draw on the 680's well at least on mine
Nice!
maxing out c3beta for some vids right now

Really want the sp thuo, hope its ok
No hd on vids idk why maybe later?
Ran a card on dice for fire strike, this bench is really easy on the cards with steady smooth loading.
3d Vantage would have crashed 5 times in the time to run the whole bench at these clocks and around 50+ over 3d11 also.
1700 1.59v 1.75v for rams I used hotwire just to bump rams +75> +475
Not really great scaling over 1600 for me thuo

Guys, would the magic AB work on a newer Msi Lightning card or those won't change core voltage at all these days? (say I got a new one...)
Cant wait to get my GTX 680 to play with. Free upgrade / replacement from KFA2 for my second borked GTX 670, but sadly just the reference version.
Quote:
From KFA2
We have tested your card and found there to be artifacts when under load, which ties up to the original symptoms.
Of course we will now need to test the replacement card before it gets shipped, to ensure it is free from defects before being shipped to you.

I have now tested a replacement card, and this has now been packed and sent via TNT UK.
I have replaced your original GTX670 EX OC with a GTX680 2GB, the GTX680 has been tested fully & quality assessed to ensure its functionality.
Newer Lightning simply has a locked bios (the original 5000 may have better binned chips too it seems). Flash it with the original unlocked bios (there's 2 versions - F8 and 3A - the former came on the first unlocked cards, the latter on the second batch of unlocked cards which seems to work on most cards since too), and use either AB v2.2.3 or a later version with modified profiles, to allow full voltage control out to 1.36v and if you want to go futher, 1.4/1.5v+ etc use the artmoney program and go from there.
Nice result should be a good upgrade..
Thanks. No idea why my GTX 670s were so bad, they were only clocked to 1240 / 7200, and the first one stopped running at its boost clocks in 3D apps and stayed stuck at around 300 MHz gpu and ram speeds, and the second just stopped responding whenever 3D apps / games were launched, both within 2-3 months after having them. Even reference designs have been managing those clocks and not having any problems.
I read that Galaxy had a whole early batch of these GTX 670 crushed by UPS, and both mine had dented cooler fins so I'm thinking they were both from a bad batch. I've had MSI cards running OCed for years without any problems, and the build quality on these KFA2 ones seemed faultless at first. Their RMA service is decent enough with the card upgrade too.
___________
Just got and tested the replacement, +150 GPU clock for 1228 Mhz works fine and completed heaven, +200 for 1280 Mhz crashed. Looks like another average 1200 Mhz chip. Im not going to overclock the ram on it though as Im sure thats what broke on my 670s, nor bother with unlocking the bios as my last one only got an extra 20 Mhz from the unlocked voltage so its hardly worth risking another card for just a slight improvement.
The reference stock cooler is a bit noisier and the GPU heats up to 80 degrees now, but I wont notice it with my headphones on while gaming so its not really a problem.
Ok heres my 3D mark result:

I7 980 @ 3.875 Ghz, GTX 680 @ 1228 / 7000, 12 Gb Geil Ultra ram @ 1866 Mhz 7-9-7-24.
^^ Stock voltage settings. I just OCed the vram for benchmarks, 24/7 it will just be 1228 / 6000.
I'll test again with 6000 Mhz ram to see how much difference that makes actually.
6000 Mhz ram:

Only the fire strike graphics score fell, I suppose thats the only test that needs a lot of bandwidth then.
back to what cards are for :)

Around how much would an avg reference 680 hit on the mem OC, im planning in getting 2pcs pretty soon
Hello guys !
I want to do a question, for a problem that i have..
I have two 680's reference in SLI..
My first card do 1324mhz with stock voltage(1,175volt) and my second card do 1280mhz with stock voltage again...
I unlock the voltage with editor, and flash the unlock bios at both cards(1,213 volt)...
My problem is, that with the bios 1,213 voltage, both cards throttling...
I set the clocks of both cards at 1300mhz, but the clock goes up and down(down to 1200mhz, then up to 1300mhz then down to 1150mhz e.g) and i cant understant the reason:(
Its a way for reference cards, to work stable clocks with 1,213 voltage bios, or must stay with 1,175 volt??
~sorry for my english, i did my best:)
No one knows ?:(
Sorry for the late reply mate we help the fastest that we can...
what cards are yours ? cauz for what u told your cards may have hardware protection for ex i have GALAXY GTX680 SOC and they run at 1,244 max, i did that flash with KGB unlocker but if i try more than that i have same volts and cards start to act weird
only card u can go higher without problems is MSI lightining u can put till 1,37 if you want
my references +550 EVGA use to do that
my SOC for bench +800, for daily +700 on mem wich is 7400+
cheers !
Sergio
Thanks for the answer mate!
Μy cards are both reference design...
The fisrt one is palit and do +550mhz on memory and 1330 mhz core for benches and 1300mhz core full stable for daily use with stock voltage 1,175volt!
The second one is gigabyte and do +550 on memory and 1285mhz core for bences and 1250mhz core full stable for daily use with stock voltage 1,175 volt!
If i flashed both with unlock reference bios with 1,213 voltage, then both cards goes +40-50 mhz higher at core, but the problem is at some benches and games(no at all games) the core clock dont stay stable and goes "up and down", like throttling and i cant understant the reason mate:(
Is that hardware protection that you tell my about?
All reference designed cards, cant work stable with more than 1,175voltage, because of that hardware protection??
This is what I get..

Seems pretty low?
2600K @ 4.5Ghz
+400 on the mem
+130 on the GPU
1202 GPU1
1215 GPU2
