The one that came with your card is usually the best bios for your card.

Now depending on what you want to do, the bios can be modded to suit your needs better.

Some choices are:
1). You want to run benches and get high scores. Pushing high volts, and temps, high stress. Card may not be long term stable, and may get damaged, this is the price you could pay for benching.

or

2). You wan't to max out performance/cooling while maintaining high stability for playing games, i.e. get the best bang for your buck.

or

3). You want to underclock, or undervolt to cut down on noise/heat/power.

can you please change only the:

Max voltage limit 1.2125v
3D GPU clockspeed 800MHz
Default fanspeed 30%
Memory speed 2000MHz (4GHz effective)
Max fanspeed changed to 100% where applicable

i was trying with nibitor 5.9 but the .rom's integrity was 'red' and also
the tabs are not showing anything, only from 'tools' i can alter clocks and voltages!

I want to get the highest speeds in games.
Replaced the stock cooler with a better one.
Bought a Gelid icy vision rev.2
With MSI Afterburner i could overclock my card to 950/1900/2250, which is a good overclock, but maybe i could squeeze a bit more out of this card with a better bios .... ??

Well your clocks are exceptional, and well above averge. What voltage do you have it set to? Also I encourage you to run OCCT GPU Stress test with error checking to determine if your OC is 100% solid.

In your case a modded BIOS will not net you anything unless you just want to make your OC permanent.

Also the GDDR5 timings are auperb. Are you using a mem vmod?
Try to see if 3Dmark11 is running. It is a good DX11 stress tool ;)

Thanks. the problem is that nvflash is not recognize .bin files. should i rename it to .rom?

edit: i have renamed it and it was ok! it worked like a champ! thanks alot

In Msi Afterburner i set the core voltage to 1.2.
No mem vmod.
I ran kombustor for 7 hours with no problems at all.
Temp at full load is 70 deg celcius.....idle 24 deg.celcius.
3dMark 11 and heaven benchmark 2.1 run just fine.
3dmark 11 gives a score of 4306 3dmark.
Heaven 2.1 gives a score of 41.7/1050.
Vantage gives a P rating of 21314, a G rating of 17867 and a C rating of 50604

System:
Intel q9550 / 775 socket 2.83 GHz at 4.10 GHz (480x8.5) with air cooling (Scythe Mugen 2).
Asus P5Q3 wifi deluxe mainboard.
Colorful GTX460 1MB set to 950/1900/2250 with Gelid Icy Vision rev.2

Are these scores any good ??

But still even though you ran Kombuster and had no problems you may still be geting errors that are not apparent, I still urg you to run OTTC with error checking as it scans for errors where kombuster, or furmark does not. You will be glad you did trust me. The last 10 cards I oc'ed were fine in furmark/kombuster however OCCT detected lots of errors that would have crashed games.

And yes your scores are good.

I have played the top games like call of duty:black ops, bioshock 2, aliens vs predator and call of duty:modern warfare 2 at 1920/1200 (26 inch Fujitsu/Siemens monitor) everything high with no crashes.
Everything works fine..no problems at all.
But i'll try your OCCT to see if there are hidden problems....

Done to 2x 460 SC EE's.
Issue with one card I believe.

Would someone please be able mod this BIOS (the FTW one above), if it's wouldn't be too much trouble? I would like someone to modify it to what they think would be a good voltage for a maximum, stable, 24/7 use overclock on a stock cooler. A shame about those fan speeds not being moddable via the BIOS :-( Any help is much appreciated.

what i want is to unlock table to 1,2 max and fan to 30%

do i have to only change to 1,2 and fan to 30% save the .rom and flash with nvflash and thats all ?

idle1 0,962v
idle2 0,875v

As i saw the modded bios that Ket posted its ok for all Sonic Platinums, but if i flash that it will load on my stock 800/1600/4000 to 1.1v and idle on both stages to 0,900 i just want to unlock it to 1,2 and leave the rest as it is on mine

what can happen if i just load my original bios and move MAX VOLT TABLE TO 1.2 and fan to MIN 30% and save to a .rom and flash that one ?
