Nice work mate, also nice to know that you trim your are pit hair and don't plait it. :rofl:
Normaly drill bits will drift when blunt or one edge is chiped.
Can also drift if to much pressure in placed on the drill bit when first starting the hole and the drill is held at a slight angle, not easy to keep hand drills square.

Drilling the hole in the perspex now in an excellent idea.
I am guess (hoping) that you are only going to bolt the perspex on.
If you do plan to pop rivet it on make sure you use washers on top of the perspex and Don't do it before it's powdercoated.
I know your not simple, it's just that I have seen a lot of really dumd things in fab work before, some of the dumdest have been by me. :brick: :ROTF:

Hey Xion.... As I have constantly told you through this whole project... Your perfectionism has been just that, just perfect! Once you get the SSD drives mounted, can you please post another side by side shot (render / actual). Your artistry in your renders have been spot on. I just like seeing them side by side. excellent! there is a lot to learn from this log... like how to change your idea in a split second if it doesnt work... great job with figuring out how to to that plate. Im sure its also a lot sturdier now cuz of the metal brackets! like your method of cutting acrylic... seems really simple and clean... when i do it with a bandsaw its a pita cuz it just shoots white dust allll over the place. Nice job and can't wait to see more!
EDIT: Is that acrylic sheet even screwed in? i cant see any screws!

Right now, I'm experimenting with ways of bonding plexi. My weld-on came in this week, along with a syringe and hypodermic needle for application.

This stuff is supposed to react fast, so it shouldn't be long before I can see how clean and strong a bond it will make. If it works well, I should be able to build the entire SSD mount, brackets included, out of plexi to enhance the weightless theme.

I've used Dangerden products for several years. My first Dangerden product I had when I built my first watercooled system a few years ago that ran two 8800GTX's in SLI. BFGTech used Dangerden as their waterblock outfitter for their "watercooled edition" block, and it performed excellently. I'm expecting the same of their latest products and cannot wait to get them in my system and under some H20.

If I may make a suggestion on the DD GPU blocks, use rubber gloves when handling them at all times, the roughed up copper hold finger prints better than graphite. I love my DD blocks on my 2 gtx280's, but every place I've ever touched them there are now dark(er) finger prints there, and I thought I was being careful. In hindsight I wish I would have taken a buffer wheel to them and polished off the rough finish.
As far as the performace goes I couldn't be happier, you'd be hard pressed to get and component on the cards over 35c
