anyone seen this cpu stepping/batch?
CAAAC 0345RPMW
9457135K30301
don't see any A's as the 4th letter... lots of K and O's but no A's...
hmm...
I just got mine 3200+ #3 and the stepping is similar to yours
CAAMC 0345 S???
So far doing 2350mhz and priming with stock hsf.... gonna let it run for a while on air, maybe this weekend she goes in the chiller..... temps are pretty bad at 59c on the bios at 1.7v....... hate to know what her temp is right now when running prime.....
Its a brownie btw
Are you sure it is not CAAKC ?Quote:

Stepping goes from CAAKC -> CAAMC -> CAAOC ( for 3400+ at least )

so what's up with my chip???
Anyone else seen a CAAAC before?
My last one that died was a CAAAC.... did 2650 on the chiller and it was a greenie too.....
im doing fully stable @ fsb 233... and thats on a via board ;)
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7527821
I max hoped for fsb 225, so im happy.
this is my a64 3400+ on r404a promy:

My CAAMC...but its a 3400...
which motherboard should I choose? A shuttle or the gigabyte?
This abit board is really killing my 9800pro im affraid.. :(
I have heard that the Gigabyte can handle the higher MegaHertz, but that the Shuttle is a very good overclocker, so i am going to buy the Shuttle on Thursday :P
Been playing with the latest K8NPRO Bios and guess what....my 3000+ hit 3Ghzs, pic is in the attach.
r404a Prommy. But i have to calibrate my promy its giving me only -39 on the display when i have the Vcore @ 1.96.Quote:

and do a bench
hell, 600w @ -55Âșc Power duall chiller (Powered by r404a & methanol) and I don't get time to finish my air lite box
still air cooled
giga k8nnxp is a good motherboard but my k8v dlx kicks it far away even with fsb to 290mhz in the same processor overclock "2480mhz"

He is pushing it for the SuperPi 4x multi ranking.Quote:

51 sec at 1.5GHz is quite good result IMO :D
That kind of RAM speeds are possible with 4x multi and low CPU MHz only. 381 1:1 is totally insane thou :toast:
so what makes the 4x mutli enable really high ram speeds, other than that the CPU clock stays low
i reckon the cpu only calls to the ram a lot less often with a low multi. for instance ram bandwith definately changed on 32bit amd rigs when going from a 10 multi to a 12 multi. so higher multies push ram harder.

take a look at Magnums 340 1:1 shot in spot 12 ;)
need a little help here...
Just corrupted the Bios on My Shutttle AN50R and need to get a new Bios chip as fast as I can...
I asked here as ALL of you are athlon64 users and somebody has to have done it before..
Need to know where I can get a replacement Bios Chip as Shuttle is slower than Molasses in replying to my request.
A64 3200+
CAAMC 0339WPMW "9" ..0072 (greenie)
2.36 @ 1.7 for prime
2.39 @ 1.7 for 3d
Using the retail HSF
Hoping to reach ~2.6 in my vapo after vmod.
Well i have the same stepping as you. Do you know if it's a good one? And how high do you think i can get with it on a Shuttle AN50R and stock cooling?
It seems fairly good, but no golden sample. Even tho you have the same stepping they might, and problably will oc very different. I dare not guess what it might do as this will only be wild guessing.Quote:
