What are your BIOS info? Its hard to see how you got it just from that shot.
http://img389.imageshack.us/img389/6...9418tb7.th.jpg
vcore 1.32
cpu pll 196
qpi/ram 1.35
cpu differential line amplitude 800mv
HT off
i'm not sure i'll go this way as my ram doesn't like more then 1600mhz, so i have to go for lowest multi (around 1275) 19x200 is rock stable @1.30v
after that screen i had a crash after 10 mins OCCT, and still have a weird issue for wich i'll make a seperate post so i stopped my testings
OCCT sucks IMO, i never use it, nothing is better than Prime95/Memtest and Linpack, use those 3, if all are stable, you have one rock solid system.
occt worked good for my previous system :p
don't know if 4ghz is reachable for my noob skills, either i couldn't get more then 10 mins stability with 100% on all for cores @19*211 and loose too much memory bandwidth as i have difficulties to push my ram @1675Mhz
btw any clue now on why 20x multi does not work @ 200bclk ? do we have to leave it on "auto" ?
looks good with prime to :

going to bed now, i'll try different things tomorrow for this damn 20x200 :p
I just bought Gigabyte UD5 now.
I am Planning to do only 3.8Ghz or 4 Ghz max, Can anyone tell me if the below Memory is good?
OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227365
Is DDR3 1333 sufficient for reaching 4Ghz or is it Good to have DDR3 1600?
Thanks.
I have OCZ DDR3 1600 from new egg, works great, though I am using 3x1 since still on xp 32 bit til windows 7. I would definitely get 1600 over 1333 like GAR said, gives you more options for mem dividers like 8mem x200 for 1600. When i do get wind 7 64 bit, I will likely get 1800 or higher to give me more options.
Intel engineer in docs/video said turbo works with one or two cores loaded, I thought was just one. Tested on my i940 at 22x182, prime load on core 1 only (affinity cores 0/1) runs turbo multi to 23. Loading prime on 2 cores ( 0/1,2/3) multi bounces around 22.5, etc., loading 3 cores (0-5) and 4 cores (0-7) turbo is off and multi 22. When setting multi down one to 21 (turbo is then +2), one core loaded full turbo of 23, 2 loaded anywhere from 21.5 to 22.5 turbo depending on load.
pic w/22.5 multi with cores 1 and 2 (0/1 2/3) loaded with orthos.
these g.skill have better timings

so does this mean that 920 consume the same power as the 965 even if the 920 has a lower clock speed?
some 05 action in the SS...-44C load...
the score sucks...should be over 40.5K but i was running mem at ~1480mhz with 9-9-9-24.......GT1 - GT2 lost fps....
cannot get prime stable with 20x200.... even with 1,42v..blue screen after 5 to 10 mins
as my system is stable 19x200 1,3v i wonder what is preventing me from achieving the 4gh stable..could it be some kind of "need exact good vcore" more the push it ?
temps are ok (70/75) could it be the 130w limit ?
Out of curiousity what other settings are u using? For 20x200 stable, I had to use 8x multi and 16-17x uncore. It was not stable with 6 multi and uncore of 12-15. I had to clear cmos after trying 6mem and 12uncore.
Have u tried loadline enable, turbo off (initially), mem 8, uncore 16, pcie 100 (doubt necessary but..), qpi/vtt 1.32, cpu pll 1.86, qpi pll 1.14. And scaling for me is .03 to .035 additional vcore for every 100mhz when around 4ghz. Also what flopper said, be interesting to try 19x210.
No, I use prime almost exclusively now with quads. But I needed 4 versions of a program running to set each version affinity for 1 core so it was easy to start and stop each core for testing...just used orthos for that purpose.
First tests on RE2:
Memory stable at 1015mhz (cpu 24/24 frequency)
http://img361.imageshack.us/img361/7...9920wv6.th.jpg
3d stable
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/775...5mhzaw8.th.jpg
pi32 (not good time but save 11s between 1015mhz 99920 and 870mhz 88820)
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/736...5mhzto4.th.jpg
i tried 19x210, could get to windows but i abandonned this way as i had to put my ram @1269 it did not seem to be an interessant path in term en performance. also i wasn't sure about what other parts i should put more volts in (cpu pll ? qpi dram ?)
i did not try loadline calibration, i forced mem @1600Mhz (x8 i guess) uncore left to auto and juste pushed vcore as 19x200 is stable i did not think i would have to modify anything but vcore with 20x200.
system is generaly more stable with core mutli on auto spécialy at boot as the speedstep can be unabled...thus is easier to recover from bad oc then it was for 211x19.
maybe i should try loadline calibration...i'll keep you posted !
You are assuming auto will result in same settings with 19 vs 20 multi on an immature bios, you might be right, but my bios was changing auto settings as I made other changes. I would at least make sure your auto uncore is on 16x, ie 3200 mhz 16x200 when you go from 19 to 20 multi, ie make sure it does not change. I took all the important things off auto, especially after watching them change for worse when i boot up at different settings. My mem timings if left on auto on some multis will try and boot at 6,6,6 18, and when it fails it will kill my OC and then boot up at 6,6,6, 18, despite a rating of 1600 at 8,8,8 24. Bios definitely immature, I dont trust auto for much. But loadline definitely helps on mine.
max mhz with 1.56Vcore at -47C..
