I meant, a single 4870 doesn't choke even at 10FPS. Watch the video.
But that's different circumstances, it's a single card to begin with.
As for R700 (being a crossfire card): Crossfire in Crysis not working was also mentioned by Guru3D on this page:Oh but that's more than a month ago.Quote:
(Crysis would just not allow CF to kick in even after reinstalling the game and again patching it to v1.2)
Anyway, the article at PCH.de says that on their R700 with beta drivers crossfire wasn't working properly, so that makes sense about their results...
Yeah, this is the problem. So many peopel jumping on the bandwagon, not realizing the problem.
Any mention of Microstutter and FPS in the same sentence is enough to make me not listen, and I deal with the problem daily.
I've been complaining of the same issue since X850..FPS counter, and displayed framerates are not the same in Microstutter. You will have 80FPS, but it looks like 20.
Vantage DOES show this, in the space test, but only for a few seconds.
In my video you can see the problem, but I guess I should have had FPS counter in-game on...
but I've stated before, Crysis is a special situation. Crysis engine has it's own time counter, and the ratio between real-time, and the engine-time, can vary. Sometimes it is .61%, sometimes 40%, sometimes .91%.
This is what keeps the game smooth with low FPS. Combined with blur, single player games can be ok, as game engine waits for vga rendering when vgas are slow, rather than just dropping frames.
But it seems that this part of the engine is broken, or something. Anyway, without this coutner the same in each test, you cannot compare scores in Crysis using the benchmark tool. You can't even compare from one level to the next, and this is why some sites show framerates on different levels of the same game, I wish more did this.
sry to quote that "old" post but this had to be done.
they allready did that.

so very high = high now and crysis warhead is good coded now. :p:
:banana::banana::banana: dammit... Still 2 more weeks to go
I noticed this with my 8800gts512 also , even though it was water cooled and volt modded , playing UT2004 just looked very crappy at times , like dropping frames .
Do we have an official release date yet?
my 4850 CF has heavy microstutterings in GRID and Crysis unless CF is off
also in DMC4 unless vertical sync is on
Is that more like tearing ? ie difference between LCD refresh rate and fps generated ?Quote:
also in DMC4 unless vertical sync is on
