bought a p5q-e, let's see how far we go with the q6600 here
Hey everyone, does the P5Q-E overvolt like the Deluxe does?
Turns out Evil E #2 is a revision A3, came with BIOS 1201.... so far it KICKS A$$! Way better than the flaky one and running similar BIOS voltages to the TPower!
That's good news man, glad to hear it.
I haven't had a chance to start cranking on the FSB a whole lot, but my E0 E8400 is 1.2500VID and is happy as a clam at 4.005GHz with 1.3000 set in bios at 445fsb and Reaper1150's at DDR1069. PL setting is 8 atm with shipping bios 1201 I'm using 1.52v pll, 1.16vtt, 2.04vdimm, 1.18nbv, 1.20sbv, and pcie sata set to 1.60v. GTLs are still at auto due to aforementioned lack of time on new board and RAM is pretty loose. For the heck of it I did a quick PCMark05 run and she turned 10k with everything running..
Hopefully in the next few days I'll get the chance to wail on the fsb with the 2GB 1150 kit before dropping the 4GB 1066 kit in and dialing back a notch on the RAM.
which put more or less voltage for the Q6600, making the vcore
to get 3.6ghz or more (FSB400+ (450x8, 475x8, 400x9 ....))
until vontagem which is safe?

So I've got an E8600 in here, and I'm battling for stability at not even decent fsbs, anyone got any pointers? Gonna dice tomorrow so this is my last resort :P

Really high voltages you got there !
1.7 PLL
You should really try dropping them and try is your board stable then!
Mine Q9550 2.8Ghz stock runs 3.6Ghz
vPLL: 1.54
vNB: 1.14
vFSB: 1.14
vSB: 1.2
vSATA: 1.6
You're running 450fsb dude, that's the difference. And a quad.
With those voltage I can get 530x8.5 dead stable with ram @ 4-4-4-12-4-30 and pl9
Quads also can't handle the pll that dualies can so it's all good ;)
Will give it a shot a bit later thanks :)
hello, here is very hot, I would like help from you,
making the vcore, which can lower voltage?

I'm stable but these ati 8.10 drivers keep crashing my games
I don't understand it :(
ATI 4850 temps are good as well, I have a S1 cooler and it idles at 40c
My volts go from 1.368 to 1.37 to 1.40 in CPU-Z
I'm not stable, help

You gotta know your limits.. drop your clocks, otherwise keep on tweaking!

It's unstable in prime
What should i change?
E8500 @ 4.15ghz
Asus P5Q-E Modded 1201 bios
PC8500 G Skills 4 gigs
1TB/320 Segate Drives
Ati 4850 with S1 @ 690/1130 40 idle
Neo Power 650
Antec Case
Custom Water Cooling Kit
GTZ/D655 Pump at 5/Swiftech Rad 3x E fans and 5x Silent Fans in case
Setup was made to work well and be near silent, it's not loud, but it's not silent
transaction booster is a bit too high.. try 9 or 8. Also lower your pll to 1.56 or lower.
Welp, just picked one of these up to replace my blown up P5B-D. Hope it'll get my E8400 to 4.0 like the P5B-D did. Well... it BETTER!
I'd say it can comfortably run it at 4.25ghz (533x8) It's an OK board for a general user :)
this card only shows the temperature
CPU, motherboard, Cores ?
NB and SB does not show?
Nope, no NB or SB temps. Deluxe has at least NB temps but I don't about SB.
