Right now I am trying to get this ram stable at 548MHz. I was just wondering.. When I set my ram to 2.1v it idles at 2.13-2.14v and is 2.1v under load. Would this be considered dangerous in the longrun?

Hi.
This is not my best setup. I am currently working on a 1:1 setup with my Q6600 G0 @ 3,6GHz, so I can improve my ram timings, although I will not run my ram @ 500 MHz but @ 450MHz. I promise to post later on the results…
For now here is the proof that the 680i chipset can run 8GB of these sticks.
See my next post... pics from Q6600 G0 @ 3,6GHz.
Regards.
Here's my latest Memtest86+ v2.01 runs...
Attachment 76220
Attachment 76221
My Vista crashed with a BSOD and something about Memory Management. I was able to get into the BIOS just after this happened but then I got this message at the bottom of the screen...
PS/2 Mouse error or no PS/2 mouse present
Press F1.., Del...
Neither the F1 or Del keys worked. I then reset the CMOS and then I got this...
CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded
PS/2 Mouse error or no PS/2 mouse present
Press F1.., Del...
Still neither the F1 or Del keys work. Both the keyboard and mouse are connected. I'm using a USB to PS/2 mouse. I tried a PS/2 mouse with the same results.
Since the BSOD had something to do with Memory Management I turned my attention to my G.Skill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ memory. I removed one module. I must be lucky or something as I was able to boot into the BIOS with no error messages. Using Memtest86+ v2.01 the first module ran with no errors. I was also able to load Vista. The second module was a different story as it failed.
I was worried that I was going to have to RMA my motherboard but now it's going to be my G.SKILL memory!
what volt did you use?
Hi.
As promised on my previous post,…
Take look at the following links…

Hi guys, amazing thread. Just got this kit plus an E8400 and an Abit IP35.
Running 9x400 and the RAM at 480Mhz@2.1v, 5-5-5-15, TrFc 48 and the rest on auto. How low can I try to set the timings at this frequency?
Two questions :)
1. What i sthe name of th eprogram you use for mesauring the temps, cause it's not coretemp for sure, on the screen you made it's in the right upper corner.
2. I have 4gb of geil black dragon 800mhz 5 5 5 15, and I cannot get them stable for stess tests, on 900mhz i can easily play cod4 crysis, but when I make 1081mhz, and that's what I would like te get stable with my ram I see something like suttering in the graphics which I did not have with my previous sticks 2gb reapers 1150, though I ran them 1199mhz (one of them stopped working after 3 months, while starting I had a detecting dram info and it wouldn't boot - it did boot with one stick - that is why I changed memry).
Soooo my question is is it worth to buy the gskills for my config?? (see below)
the second option would be 4x1gb crucial ballistix, but that's more expensive.
hope to get some help from Q6600 users :)))))
thx
Hi.
1. The program is Real Temp not Coretemp. I believe the last version is 2.24.
2. When I got my GSkill I was not aware of the compatibility issues that I am aware today. Also I now know that GSkill does NOT recommend the use of 8GB on boards with 650i and 680i chipsets. So…. go figure. But I can say that I'm happy with the product.
GSkill I think has a major advantage... I got 8GB for more or less 240 Euros and they perform well. Concerning the other aspects of your question… I’m not the right person to give you an answer.
I think your should start by reading this post, and get some feed back from GSKill Technician.
Regards.
my stuff arrived today :banana::banana::banana::banana:
too bad i have to go on a trip for a week with school, anyone can give me some fast tips and tricks for this memory
mobo is a DFI DK P35
Just got my G.Skill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ kit in the mail and ran some tests. It has no trouble doing memtest @ 2.1v 5-5-5-15 1067 or 2.1v 4-4-4-14 800 (tested all night & no errors). It doesn't even get warm to the touch :D!
My question is if I'm going to be running it at 800 w/tight timings until e8400's drop in price should I try to lower the voltage to 2.0v or should I just leave it?
Drop the voltage as low as it will go without producing errors.
Posted this in the Deals section too, $89.99 shipped today at the egg, nice ram.

Have anybody tried flashing the sticks with the SPD from the "F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK" sets? and check if clocking would still be the same. i mean isn't the only difference between the sticks a better PCB and another SPD for the PK ones?
Price is now down to $90 shipped!!

Click....buy two pairs........I'll be back with 8GB results on my rig by Thursday :D.
Not officially, but if you call them up or use the online chat and are ask them politely they might refund the difference if you recently made the purchase. I got $20 for my GTS after the price dropped a week after I purchased it. Give it a shot, but be aware there's no guarantee.
I think I'm going to get this ram, it should do 1068 24/7 without a problem, right?
I would hope so, thats not even hardly considered an overclock.. :p:
Does this RAM works on nForce 650i SLI MOBO? =O
my pc will not boot with 2 sticks installed, is this normal?
i have a DFI DK P35, and i am using the orange slots
Anyone having problem using this Kit with a DFI LP P35 ?
For $90 its a steal, Can these hit DDR2-1200 ??
No, that's not right at all. It should work fine.
I've used them in both Abit P35 and DFI X38, so while I'm not 100% sure, I haven't heard anything saying these would not be compatible with your board. However, expecting 1200mhz out of these is a bit much for sure. You would need some pretty cherry sticks to be able to do that with any sort of stability.
