Guys my M4E keeps pulling codes too mostly 65 which is CPU right? I think imc pulls this code if ram setup isn't happy, it just doesn't seem to like my g.skill psc rams, the rams and CPU run fine on lower end Asus boards.....
Oddly I have a P8Z68-V PRO that runs great except sometime it pulls a post error for excessive USB current draw detected, system shutting down but even when nothing is in USB it still pulls error .... So two problem Asus motherboards ....
:(
Any news on Z77 range yet?

yes:up:
The chip is fine, I run p95 blend 5ghz 1.428vcore 30min on water, that was the max stress the cpu has had on it. I bought it new and didnt own it a week, sold it because of limited multi. Never benched the chip because it is limited to 53x multi. Do you have any other kits of memory to try?
I ran this while talking to Andressergio on MSN, because he was interested in the CPU also.

Post code 58 is ram related. See if you can boot to bios (with a single slot memory) and change the dram settings like add more vdimm.
uff the look on new bios is horrible letters on bold
i still cant see the dif
Hey thanks for Detective Sergio and you for helping out figure out this problem with the error 58 , man it had us banging are heads , never thought a damn cat hair could knock out part of my chip Oc Nub , you live and learn everyday , chip running great by the way thank again:up:

I use xtreme setup
if the GSkill memory you are referring to is what I think it is, then they are BBSE (not PSC) and should clock very well on the M4E.
RMA your board and start fresh, I am sure almost all of your problems have been the board and not all the cpu's that you have binned through.
With this new bios i can't run my memory up to 1333mhz, the board reboot infinitely !
I'm going to try new bios tonight.
My Gene-Z does same thing with the IB supporting bios and either 2x4 Samsung or Hynix sticks (no probs with 2x2 Hypers). System kept rebooting at any mem speed over 1333 no matter what timings/vdimm. The solution for me was disabling the Memory bandwidth booster option. When disabled even 4x4 at 2133 is good to go
I don't have this option with this bios, where do you find it ?
I had it with 2105 bios but not in 3202... :(
And i can't go back to 2105...
Hey, I was going to try that one out, but there's a new official bios on ASUS webpage for m4e (2302). I'll try that one instead. Cheers.
I hate this bios, first flash went waaaay wrong, get 00 post code, board shuts off. So like a genius I decided to flash the other bios, and now I am on the UD5 again. Basically the bios's are toast.
new bios official one is very nice passed 1h+ blend on a notch less of vcore with 16GB at 2133 CL9 5GHz HT

so is the z68 MIVE as good as the original p67? i'm thinking about giving aSB a try finally and want to know what to get for best OCing results.
Anyone know how to go back in 2105 bios ?
You can flash a previous bios version with ROG connect.
andressergio
this res you use, it kills your Flow in water
Thanks Viss, i go back to 2302 and it's working at 2133mhz !
guys will ask again
what version of AI SUITE II are u using or where's the latest to download (i remember the one on ASUS its like old and new was posted here like 1.04 wich im using but has no digi/vrm on it)
thanks
Sergio
everthingīs ok buddy, just a little stressed :D
recignized that 1.04 got no digi/vrm, thatīs why i am still @1.02.
will look @ you @msn soon ;)
cheeeers mate
I used the bios flash back, now Im back on 2105. After trying the flaky bios posted on the lsat page, I have been unable to change the CPU multiplier on any bios. Any suggestions on what is causing this?
Got a link?
:)
geeks has it for $159.99 refurbished as well, so plenty of choices radaja.
http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?inv...X-PB-R&cat=MBB
it just went out of stock:(
still mwave for $20 more is still a great deal.
I tried to flash to this bios a few days ago, something went wrong. I got 00 post code and board wouldnt boot. So I switched bios chips and tried flashing the other bios, the flash took, but I was unable to change the CPU multi. I used the rog connect and flash back to 2105 bios on one chip, the 140x (cant remember) on the other bios chip. I have been unable to change the CPU multiplier even after flashing back to older bios that had been working fine. Spent several hours trying but with no luck. Any suggestions on what the problem may be?
no ? whit new bios I can use all x56 an blck is 53x103.9 max on watercooling
bios 2105 max blck 102
Anressergio and I have been messing with this trying to get somethingto work, but so far nothing is helping.
I lost some settings, even after reflashing several times. Either something simple I am missing, or the bad flash from a few days ago totally fooked the board .

thanks some_one and all of you guys, last nite we tried the official asus dos flash, still no results from OC nub but i PM'd raja asus to see if he cant help cauz its turning into a mess, bios and both seem to update just a part
you can see perfect the version for ex you flash 2105 and reads 2105 i checked he checked but those options are gone an we cant adjust multi
Cheers to all
Sergio
If both BIOS chips are using the same build and are corrupt and you cannot use BIOS flashback from UEFI, you will have to RMA the board.
What about borrowing BIOS chip from another board?
Fair enough Sergio.
FYI the 3 series BIOS contain a new Management Engine Firmware 8.x update so if you try to roll back to a pre 3 series such as 2105 it might be possible that only the BIOS region is flashed while the ME region remains at 8.x. This is why I was asking about ME version in the BIOS setup. If it's screwed then it might show N/A.
By checking MSR 0xCE it might be possible to see if the problem were ME induced or BIOS side.
Note that Asus BIOS might have a quirk that if you disable turbo boost then it removes the multiplier setting from the setup screen. :shakes: However in your case unless your using a backup that setting should be reset to enabled by the flashing.
Hope you get it sorted soon.
Thanks everyone for the help!
No matter what I tried the setting was gone from the bios.
I bought the board from mwave.com for 179.00, its a refurbished board. Ill save it for building the wife a PC, it runs fine stock.
I ordered a new board last night, should have it by the end of the week.
This P67A UD5 has been a good board, but it does not seem to clock as well as the M4E, I was able to run the 2550k at 5500mhz easy on the M4E at 1.54vcore, the UD5 takes well over 1.6v and doesnt usually finish the benchmark before crashing.
Glad to help mate
i would order this for 15 dollars...u save the board

hi buddy,
i got also problems with the 2302 (BSODīs always with 0x124). i used the the option "Copy current bios to another flash" within the flashback menu, because i had the 2001 @ Bios 1. It worked without problems. Canīt use OC Nub this option as well ?
cheers
I have a dumb question, I probably overlooked it. But looking if there's a way to set the system to shutdown if it detects under a certain rpm for cpu?
I recently had my pump fail and want to prevent that experience in the future. I hooked up the 355 to the left most cpu fan header on the top right of the socket, board shows the rpm correctly as it reads ~4500rpm. Just didn't see an option for fan failure.
Any ideas?
guys i need some help here
i remember shooting 108x52 last time i tested now i can boot at that i see on post but when i enter windows shows 100x50
i re flashed bios, went to 1850, tested on the other BIOS, touched skews nothing seems to work, except AI SUITE II
what can be ?
cheers !
Sergio
I remember that I've seen it long time ago... Found it! owikh84 had BCLK stuck at 100MHz but I didn't see a clear solution, or maybe I wasn't looking carefuly. You can PM him to ask.
:toast:
hello guys, it has been like 6 months from when i last played with my oc settings. What bother me now is that my 95% stable oc suddenly turn out to be non-stable? i passed 6 hours prime 95 Blend custom with 90% ram, and 1344/1792 FFT both 30 min tests.
What is the issue now? my pc randomly double boot on cold boot, and either bootup into windows after the double boot, or just freez on windows logo. I'm using the 1850 BIOS, which at the time was good for most of the users, and it was working fine for me.
Here are my settings.
VCCSA Voltage: Auto
VCCIO Voltage: 1.1
CPU PLL Voltage: 1.7
Auto PLL Overvoltage: Enabled
PCH Voltage: Auto
VRM Switching frequency: 350
Vcore PWM/Duty Control: Extreme
Vcore Phase Control: Extreme
Vcore Over-current protection : 140%
CPU Multi - 50 by all cores
CPU BCLK: 100
CPU voltage/vcore: 1.435v
DDR Voltage: stock volts 1.5
CPU Spread Spectrum: Enabled
LLC: Ultra High
So do you guys recommend some newer (more stable BIOS) and what settings could i change? thanks!
I use 1409/3202
you have 2 bios chip on your motherboard ;)
There is no 3202 BIOS at Asus page?
Thanks for the answers guys.
So i'm left with what BIOS version from the recent ones? has anyone from you guys tested oc stability with latest version/s? how does it compare to 1850? i think it must be better cause is alot newer and not beta?
