That's kinda what I figured. I can't see it using a lot of juice (compared to what I've got) without it having some honking big Vid card(s) attached.

However, my Q6600@4,1 eats 250W ALONE (without mobo/mem/etc) :shocked: while my S939 X2 3800+@2,7Ghz draws around 170W BOINC (whole rig).

Has anybody bothered working our what their rigs do in terms of points per kWh?

Actually, that would be a really interesting thing to add to the benchmark charts ... painful to gather the data, but interesting.

Really, it'd be better to compile that kind of data on rigs running at stock speeds as well as overclocked to varying degrees. Again, big project.

That would be interesting - for the Euroland guys especially since they pay at least 2-3 times what the US does for juice. I :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: about $0.19/kw-hr but that's pretty good from a worldwide perspective. :)

seriously, I have one and it gives you a good view of overall system usage. The best idea though is when you upgrade your ups, to get one with a built in watt meter. :)

I'm an industrial electrician by trade with electronics and instrumentation experience (among other things). If I want it, I can build it ... if I can get time and enthusiasm. :shakes:

plus ... I'm not math-challenged enough to need a meter to work out watts when I already know voltage, current and power factor. :p:

So even if you take the Hamster Gawd DDT's points out of it. That is still a big big number per member. Hell take the top 50 out and figure the rest of the 200 and it is still impressive that a team of 250 can do 5.9 mil even in one day let alone we did Blue what 6-7 times last month?

kinda, we are doing a great job but would love to see blue again.
