yeh after looking i saw the hw central one, pretty good price, if i can sell these adatas then ill get some.

It seems that bank interleave is disabled, is there a bios option for that? i know dfi said that they didnt want to use it for the 250gb, and if its not on this board then it might be slower than other brands
i think that interleaving works best on dual channel, did little for 754 boards but it could give a nice boost in a dual config

Bigtoe, that's a lot of options there in the bios... Now I can see why the DFI bios is regarded as having the best bios for ram ever...

I wonder why DFI even bother putting in Cas Latency above 3?? Already thinking ahead for DDR2 & AMD??

All i gotta do now is wait for the board to hit Aussie shores & I'll be giving the DFI a shot based on the input I have seen so far... Not just from the NF4 but the NF3 as well... DFI have had the enthusiast market by the balls now...

Just waiting on one of the big players to put up some WR's with this board...

The only problem I can see with WR's falling is the PCI-E video cards, haven't seen anything special lately other than SLI or sky-high price-gouging for the X800XT/X850XT PE....

I await more goodies from this thread...

eva2000, gotta look up & see what I can get those VX's for down here... AUD$430 is still a bit high to me... IIRC, I could get them for under $400... Just can't get to my specialised price list atm...

if you work with the ocz vx you need a high dram voltage like 3.5v +-
the dfi mainboard can go over the voltage control up to 3.5v but the cpu (mem controler is inside) can be damaged ?
or its like the ocz booster that cant damaged the cpu mem controler .

and if so,what better to use if you want 3.5v to the rams ?

It would be wrong morally if you sold a mobo that don't work...

I could be wrong & the only problem is that it doesn't work with the Winnie but something tells me I might be in the right here...

RMA the board with your supplier & maybe ask them if they'd do a swap for the DFI board when it comes out...

god damn all those options starting to scare me. Intel boards doesnt have nearly the tweaking options. Sigh, looks like I will actually need to read the manual before I can start tweaking when i switch over.

you cant use it for overclcking so i doubt they try to hard to get it working. maybe like the 250gb it will come in a later bios
at that hardware central place, the ultra is 270, the SLI is 370 and for 20 bux more you get the bundle. i would go the whole way if i was one who spend over 300$ on a mobo.

ok it seems they updated it, and it does DXG. how does that relate compared to SLi and AMR? if its good then i might not wait for ATi boards and go for one of these in about 3 months

bigtoe have you tried memory divider(s) on this board? especially 166 divider.
Another question is, if active cooling is applied, will this board be stable at VDIMM above 3.4V? Booster stability fluctuants pretty much at high temperature so I'm quite worried about if same problem would happen to DFI's board.

Thats if the board has problems at 3.7 mem voltage, I'll need 3.7V for my VX on this board.

Suprised you don't have one OPP, after what you did with the S754 Lanparty.

OPP I haven't tested the booster, bios does 4V with the jumpers over to the 5V line setting or you just tweak up the 3.3V line (which i prefere)

TCCD revisited.

Thought I would go back and revise settings. Now the cpu does 2.6GHZ tops so im limited to 300+ x8 or 270+ X9 so i had to compromise here.

3200Plat rev2 at 2.5-4-3-8 310fsbX8 1T (sandra reads wrong)
I still personnally think VX is better with 2-2-2 or EB 3-2-2 but i know many like the TCCD stuff.

Im kinda struggling with Hynix based dimms which is weird as i have a pair here that do 300+ on an Epox 939 so it looks like the board is tuned to specific brands of memory IC and Hynix isn't one of them. I will be firing off an email to see if anything can be done for those looking to use dimms they have from older Intel rigs.

Tony do you know if an XP-120 heatsink will fit fine on this board and will you be testing the booster on this? I ask because I am afraid of running my psu out of spec 24/7. I'f I am going to tweak the 3.3v line of my psu it will be for everyday use. Is there a risk of ruining the psu or anything for that matter running the 3.3v line to say 3.6-3.7 all day everyday? That is way out of spec. I am not too sure what exactly runs of the 3.3v line but a day day would come if things starting permanantly shutting down. The booster might be a nice alternative if it works. Hope to hear something back. Thanks.

Apparently they have one for me right now, it was suppose to be sent out on Thursday but no go. I guess it needed hardware changes and they weren't done untill Late Friday. I guess I get a beatup Beta board next week:D

In the meantime I think I will take down #1 spot in 3d2001 with MSI NEO4:D
I got my new FX55 chip last week but the NEO4 only gives me 1.7V max v-core so the chip maxxes out at 3420MHz or so. I'm hopeing DFI will take this chip into the 3600MHz clouds:D

Yea if this MSI X800XT card can Overclock, 3D01 is mine, even at the low speed of 264x13. My new FX chip loves W2k unlike my last FX chip.
I'll modify my XT card and throw it on the Cascade today and see what I can do. At least MSI still loves me:D

It might be more work for DFI, but they could release different bios versions for specific ram ? that way everyone is happy heh

wht voltage did you use for your micron memory modules . I have crucial ballistix and they have micron chips as well but which can do tighter timings . I just want a fair idea as to wht voltage to give em when I overclock them . :)

I found the same when beching my Epox 9NDA3+ for some reason the DFI is giving lower benches. i hit 4k unbuffered sandra on the Epox and came nowhere near on the DFI....email time I think.

here is my Epox unbuffered with the 3500EB, now this is at 290fsb but 10fsb more on the DFI will not give me the 4K the epox is giving.

DFI is always faster... have you check every setting in bios... maybe you forgot to enable certain features :(

DFI is NOT always faster....they like any manufacturer are always tweaking to find speed. Don't worry I will just fire off an email and they will look into it.;)

The DFI doesn't support Bank interleave or it is disabled which helps bandwidth greatly. Other boards usually have this enabled. This is also the reason the DFI is able to clock much higher as when it bank interleave is disabled you have much more headroom to work with. Happenedi with the DFI NF2 offerings. 250 on the DFI was same bench speed as NF7 at much slower.

next time oyu guys bench NF4 wiht sisoftsandra watch that oyu can get really weird results via what multi you use.

on the asus sli

12x200=2400mhz=6200mb/s
13x200=2600mhz=5600mb/s

everytime It was way out of wack not sure if this is what some are seeing on sandra via the new NF4 boards.

I have a X800Xt here, 500/500 stock clocks. I never put it on cooling yet. Just got done with mods and I'll be playing tonight. I'll see what I can do at 3.4G on the FX and 1.7V with this NEO4 for now. I can tell you at 264x13 I'm already getting 233 in Lobby High with card at 520/560.

Its also CPU dependant, my 3800+ gives higher bandwidth than the FX53 i have. I also know the FX55 gives even higher reported bandwidth so its all down to memory controllers.

DFI has memory interleaving option completely off, EPOX has it on 2 like many manufacturers. Could u please email Oskar and ask him include a memory interleaving option (disable, 2 and 4) in final debut BIOS?

My old Winchester 3200+ gave me about 700MB/s more than my FX55 with the same config and mobo. See it here.

I don't have any 4200EL Platinum here to test although my 3200Plat rev2 does do similar speeds. My hynix based 4200EL is not so hot which is weird as it does 300 or so on other 939 boards i have tested.

Tony, I may have missed it, but how does the LT multiplier scale with the HTT. You said if set at 5X it started to scale down as you increased the HTT. Can you explain what exactly you were seeing and where? Thanks.

Also what was the "sweet spot" for your newer tccd sticks voltage wise.
