Nice find cirthix, tho i do wish it were an Conroe XE.
While cirthix has obviously proven that they are not Conroe XE, this news article says that the Extreme Edition will be the first Conroe to launch!
I can't seem to find any other sources to verify this.. and it wouldn't make much sense if this was the case, but who knows. If it is true, it will certainly be an interesting launch. WR would surely fall in most everything.Quote:
Core 2 Extreme will actually become the first Conroe processor to launch, followed immediately by Core 2 Duo E6700 -- as outlined by Intel's most recent desktop roadmap.
i wonder if the mechanical sample has a coldbug :(
IIRC, the XE's don't launch until after the regular Exxxx conroes.Quote:

has one road map from Intel has shown the XE either speed or pricing??
cheers for cirthix
just can't get my head around how can these resistors work for filtering power supply
the source publisher must be too bored or too dumb to tell a difference between resistor or capactor
if you look close, you can see that they are 0ohm resistor packs. they dont do anything.Quote:

$2200.00 damn ! i hope thats the server chip. I was planning on selling my fx60 for like 800.00 and puting up anoter 2-300.00 to get a Conroe XE.
Conroe XE will cost $999 , Intel list price.
Thanks for the 411!Quote:

I've also seen something in the 1200$+ range, only makes sense, they are gonna have a tough time getting many at that speed, and the performance will certianly warrant a higher price tag (which is mroe than you can say about the current XE processors).

Hmmm, im pretty sure it was $999...
wasnt there also an e4300 1.8ghz 800fsb 2mb 65w for $200?Quote:
