I'm thinking registry and device Id was moded. But who knows maiby it could be a hardware mod. Anyway my congrats and respect for such an achivement.
uli-patch?
Nice results there Big_Sam
It just goes to prove that Nvidia's lame excuse that Intel chipsets don't have enough bandwidth to run SLI is just plain bullocks.
Undocumented MSR for 975X/NF4 chipset is what I think.
would love to get that patch it would be fun
Great result :)
Congratulations !
INTEL all the way baby!!!!!
2fink , no ULI patch .
Wow! Really nice results with Intel there.
So umm if i might ask HOW DID HE DO THIS i would have thought that if it could be done like this then Intel and Nvid would have done it MUCH larger sales for both dont u think?
Dragon
nvdia could have enabled SLi on intel chipsets in a blink of an Eye if they wanted to, everybody knows that.
This is no fun. We shouldnt have to play guessing games on how in the world he runs SLI/Intel. He should just tell us ...
nice scores sam .;) what about 05 and 06 scores?
Hmmm

I don't get this at all. Some people can and some people can't? Or is that ocworkbench screenshot photochoped?
well only the people with moded drivers can, which is not much ,Quote:

I think that my "Wings of Fury" the fastest among cards from NV - 618.3 fps ! :D Memory is also nice. :) Now it is possible to start videocards OC. :)
please contact me with the drivers - i have 7900GTX's coming and would like to use em on a P5WDG2-WS if possible...

So why is there only one person who can use SLI on his 975 system?
And then what is he doing here?
he's the only one has has hacked drivers that work with the newer nvidia cards on intel chipsets...
And therefore my second question...
Showing off is not the way to go ....
We all can learn from one another here, that's what is making this site big.
:woot:
There's no way that orginal drivers are modified. If they were modded, there is no way that they could be still WHQL (any modification to main .inf, .sys will result in broken file signature and therefore .cat will not protect installed files making drivers non-WHQL) apparently his drivers are WHQL which only means 2 things to me:Quote:

1. He has a good friend that send him those drivers.
2. He modified them after normal driver install.
Anyway, great work Sam :toast: you should make your drivers available to all XS members who want SLI on Intel.
EDIT: OK, I got something for XS, hopefully it does work
nfm_nv4_disp84.56_mod.rar
Follow this instructions to see if this will make SLI to work on x975
EDIT2: Com'on guys somebody test it out, it may be a simple reg entry that we need to export from nf4 SLI system and integrate it into drivers to enable SLI on Intel. If somebody is willing to help, PM on how to export that reg entry.Quote:
Make sure that you have 1 card plugged in. Get my drivers and extract them somewhere.
1. Power on system, keep pressing F8 as you would press Del to go into the BIOS, then choose "Enable VGA Mode"
2. Have extracted drivers ready, now, right click on "My COmputer" icon either on your desktop or in STart Menu.
3. Choose "Properties", then "Hardware", then "Device Manager", and navigate your single nvidia card.
4. Right click on your device, choose "Properties", "Driver", "Update Driver", then do the following:
click on "No, not this time", next
click on "Install from a specific location (Advanced)"
click on "Don't search...."
click on "Have Disk"
now navigate extracted folder, and click on nv4_disp.inf
FINISH INSTALLING, do not restart!
Now, SHUT DOWN THE SYSTEM
Plug in second card
Boot Windows XP normally, let it load completely
And lastly reboot system, and let me know if it works.
Does anybody have a screenie on Intel showing how SLI cannot be enabled?
....not working...
Aopen i975 + 2x7800GTX
He's not the only one anymore ;)Quote:
