If conroe is similarly fsb limited (if it is indeed due to the cpu and not the mobo), then I guess that would make a good case for intel to persuade the high end overclockers into getting the extreme edition rather than just clocking the hell out of the 300$ chip.. unlocked multi might be the only way to really get the insane overclocks on exotic cooling. (I realized I kind of ignored this thread, this is not to say that the overclock here isnt nuts, as it is, but i'm just saying that there seems to be somewhat of a limit right now and it just got me thinking.)

FSB cap on Conroe would be a DISASTER. Thats just coldbug rewritten...

i will post the pic later! time to go to frys and get some cans to clean the dust!

bte i think my yonah is max at 275 cuz 273 32m pass, 274 32m passed, but 275 32m can't even passed initial look and freeze

Without doubt the new chips are fast in super Pi.
Still,
3D is what I use the machine for, do I get new frames with the new Cpu and if so how much?

Does it add smootness and speed to compensate for new mobo etc..?

At current status, no game is stopped by cpu or gpu power.

Looking forward more extreme testing and 24/7 use.

Always fun with new stuff...
