Crossfire will take all top spots on the ORB, this includes 2K5.
Conroe spanks 3D hard, no score is safe on the ORB.
keep in mind that nVidia is only a competitor for Intels Chipsets? oO most people prefer Intel Chipsets for Intel Processors (yeah, me too). so it's clear if Intel would ask: "Well, dude, can we add SLI support to our Mobos?" for sure nVidia says: "no, sweet, I'll bring out my own Chipsets to RULE THEM ALL!! kehkeh ^^" mkay, mixing up several films is bad... sry, for that.Quote:

of course Intel wasn't too happy when nVidia startet up their nForce 4 Intel Edition (well, not a very great competitor as I might add due to the fact that most money is made in Mainstream/Office etc and there it only shall run stable and Intel Chipsets plus Intel Processors sounds best for me). the fact is that SLI is possible on Intel Chipsets, but for Enthusiasts it doesn't matter if they buy an Intel or an nVidia Chipset as long as they can use their Quad Sli... so they use this method to push forward their sales in Enthusiast market. SLI was only a thing of validiton via nVidia before, it was possible on other Chipsets as well even as nVidia said "no go" (SIS, Uli etc remember?).
of course engineer your own Chipset is very expensive and I think Ati saw not enough space left for their Chip to bring up enough money, so they thought they might just cooperate with the big dealer Intel and validate theirs ;) don't know if Ati got money for this...
well and what about "moral decision"? it's just about the bucks as mentioned in the text above ;)
well, I might have missunderstood something completely (some might even be wrong, so correct me if so), it's late (00:10 in Germany) and I had not that much sleep last night as I wanted to have X((
CF already had 05 I thought :stick:Quote:

Time to get a CF and leave nVIDIA apart.
ive also changed to ati becouse of this , so there sales is, and will be going down .they are biting there own tail here . which can only be good for ati .
dqniel, that is AMD based NF4.
I was referring to Intel based scores and the "Intel cant touch this" remark as if it were true.
We shall see shortly, intel will rule the roost
umm what job do you have lol....Quote:

Just playing Devils Advocate here, and I've been an ATI buyer for years so this doesn't affect me anyway...
We should write an open letter to Nvidia.
You might want to check the current membership count at futuremark.

Sup 3 million registered users...
People do look at the top of the ORB to see what the next hardware purchase will be.
That would be about as useful as writing an open letter to Intel....It would fall on deaf ears. ;)Quote:

hehe...Well I'm not exactly as outspoken as my counterpart ;), however the top of the orb has been pretty green as of late. Maybe that tide is changing with these new intel chips.... maybe not.Quote:

I thought you meant overall, sorry :)Quote:

Maybe AMD has a contract with NVIDIA or something? I find it very hard to believe that NVIDIA wouldn’t want to make a good chipset for the new Intels.
Can anyone give me the moded drivers? I might try it with Dual 6800 GS if I get another. I am on a D955XBK (2 PCI-E). Anyway next build is going ATI for sure, hail CF!!.

So for me , bye nVidia ..my PHD 8 Plasma enjoys ATI..
and shows it.
The only thing I miss about nVidia and its cards is their drivers, or rather their drivers' control panel. ATi's CCC simply sucks, I learned to hate it in the past few months.
Other than that, I don't like those politics either, and the reply FUGGER got is a straigt out lie, I guess nVidia will need to learn the hard way where that gets them. Not into my new rig, that's for sure.
am i the only one suspecting that nv is working on a new chipset for conroe? if they are, at least it makes some kind of sense. if history repeats itself, their next intel chipset should be good, and by not enabling sli on intel chipsets, they are limiting competition.
lmfao... not enough bandwidth
i saw a guy toss some 6600gt's on a p5wd2-premium 955x in SLI with hacked drivers and it dominated basically every single nvidia chipset based score out there with air cooling
