got the same stepping, CCBBE 0610DPMW, and priming away at 2.4 and stock volts right now. Temps are 47C under load and 32 Idle using the stock opteron fan.

Wasnt a ram voltage problem. With the XP-90 on the KN8 2730 seems to be the limit @ stock volts. I raised it to 1.41 bios (around 1.43 CPU-Z) and its chugging away at 2800 no problems now. Going to try a bump to 2850 and see what happens.
/sigh
316HTT = Instant Reboot, Im at the boards limit.
Time to pull apart the SLI-DR Expert and switch it.
SLI-DR Expert tops out at 316? That's ridiculous, i don't think they are that bad. Try 2x LDT multiplier. More volts captain!
No, thats his abit board, read the thread. ;)
Hes now trasnferring to his DFI
Damn, what have you been doing today? :stick:Quote:

I might not be able to go to the expert till tonight or tommorow, I have 4 tests for my US History course due today and it will take me around 4+ hours to do them.
oops, see the eXpert in sig and figured you were using that.
Alright tell us how it goes, seems like an above average chip, but BB memory controller, i'm not sure. I'm thinking it's not coldbugged. It would be cool if you could test on a phase unit ;)
Up until 3 AM, then wakeup at 7AM for 8AM class :DQuote:

Thats odd. I could get into windows at 311x9, but core 0 failed in around 15 seconds. Core 1 kept on going.
Stock volts? Are you on the expert yet?Quote:

I did have to raise the Chipset voltage to get the K8N to boot at that high of HTT. It really doesnt like it that high. Thats why I got my wife a 10x Multi chip vice a 9x.
It's back up to 2799 on stock volts, still priming ok. Weird that it BSOD'd at 2808  I think it could have been from something else, it was also the first boot with the nvidia card gone and ati rage in, and I didn't uninstall nvidia drivers beforehand.. maybe we'll see >2800 on stock volts

Im hoping for 3ghz on Air. I would be tickled pink at that.
omg, just booted up at 318x9 stock volts, priming strong! I'm pretty sure now that the first bsod was caused by conflicting drivers.
Get yourself a water setup man.. though my temps aren't any better than yours
Jesus Christ,
2862 @ Stock?
Looks like I'm investing in some water cooling this weekend.
I dont think I have ever heard of a prime stable Dual Opty doing that high at stock.
Passed 4 tests before I got impatient and set 2900, unfortunately immediate freeze :( So reboot, 320x9, priming away now @2880 :D Screenies to come once it runs a little longer.
edit: nope, back to 2860, core 1 is the bum on this one :D
Im thinking we are looking at well over 3Ghz at very low voltages on this chip what do you think?

Get her naked. 3ghz easy.
keep in mind that the freq to voltage ramp rate is NEVER linear. My 0608 can do 2.9GHz on stock voltage (1.35-1.37V), but requires 1.47V to do 3.0GHz on air...Quote:

2.85 on stock volts.
i am revising, i think they are coldbugged :fact:
Eh, I've done it on 2 chips so far, X2 3800 0529MPMW and 165 0550VPMW, from experience I can say it's not really worth it.. temps have never dropped at all for me. And it takes like 10 mounts to get a semi good one, that's why I sold my naked 0550vpmw in the first place.. couldn't get a good mount on it.. but this chip is better at stock than the 0550 at 1.5v :eek:Quote:

whoa nelly.. nice chip.. whew.
