okay...using now...my utt ram cannot boot at CL1.5 compare with 704-2bta.
Just got it updated. Gonna end up having to totally retweak everything from my previous setting though. Seems it dont like my previous memory settings so I had to default everything.
2gig ballistix won't even boot dual oranges at stock, single boots fine in dimm #2. Noticed it takes alot longer to post compared to my 7/02.
Needs more tweaking.
Something I found was that instead of it showing .07vdimm overvolt like it did on my 7/02 it shows a .02vdimm overvolt in bios, while DMM reads 2.88vdimm just like before........:nono: DFI killing our ram in secrecy isn't cool.
Does this work for the SLI-DR? How does it do for high voltage UTT?
Yes it will work.
As for the later, I think I speak for the rest when I say we're still checking that out...as like others, I am going to have to re-tweak everything as it didn't like my former settings.
This bios seems to be pretty good for me, at least on the CPU so far. Primed last night for 8hrs 55mins at 328x9 (2950mhz) with 1.54v reading in bios. Has never gone this far before :). My results may be a bit scewed though as this time i had the my case open, other times it was closed.
Just upped the clockspeed to 334x9 (3000mhz), left the voltage as it is, has been priming for arnd 25 minutes. This was never possible before, always got almost instant failure, will try to keep peeps updated with my results...
Whats this? Should this be C 'n' Quiet or something changed in order to make the half multi work with opteron (which would make sense as it doesnt work ok now for me and it did with me 4000+)..Quote:
5 . Fix C 'n'O.5 multiplier not working with Opteron CPU.
working pretty well here
good to know its out I will wait for the final version..
I'd love to try this as soon as dfi stop playing about in accepting my rma....
I am still using the 6/23 bios. I guess it is time to upgrade. Any chance this might help my overclocking? Wonder what other changes I am missing since I have not updated the bios in so long?
tried it...zero gains for me
but glad to know that vcore bug is gone....
its gone, right????
i'd use it if i didn't have a pci video card. dfi... :slapass:
so now, i will submit a request. Tony, if you read this, and plan on modding this bios, is there any way to re-enable the pci video?
Ehh? I'm using a pci video card and it's working fine.Quote:

Agreed, this doesn't fix the crazy vdimm overvolting but simply hides the actual numbers.Quote:

Well I use BH-5, overvolting doesn't bother me ;) But I agree they need to calibrate those sensors properly, but overvolting is a bit ridiculous.
just flashed over to this from 704BTA. So far it seems to be happy. Im gonna do some prime overnight to see if my OC is still good and then test for any extra headroom.
really? there was a thread:Quote:

and i had a friend try it out and he said he got no video with a pci card in. what slot are you running in? what video card?
Using slot 1 (closer to the PCI-E's) and sadly i'm running an MX440 for the time being. 4430 in 01 :woot:Quote:

i've got the same card, i'll give it a go and see how it turns out :toast:Quote:
