of course it uses liquid for heat transfer... wick inside the heatpipe is used for capillary construction which transfers the liquid from one part of the heatpipe to another.
so you have liquid moving in one direction through the heatpipe using a wick, and vapor moving in other direction through the middle of the heatpipe (the part w/o wick, of course).
get it now? :)

is the vf900cu as bad.. Tomorrow I will install it on my x1900xtx.. Damn though it was the best, IMO on Nvidia cards
I just got vf900cu.. it is one of the best coolers for nvidia.. but for mfg not for x1900-series.. idle og temp of ram are a lot better but gpu / core temp goes into 80´s if voltage is 1,4 vgpu... Damn thats high.. And yes the cooler was mount perfect, and the HS of zalman really got hot... I´ll go with the X2, can anyone say go for that, maybe they have own experiencies
X2 ian't any better than the stock cooler as fas as performance goes. It is a lot quieter though so as long as you don't plan to OC a lot. CPU coolers are really the only way to get performance and silence on the high end X1k cards.

Again people keep on talking about the Accelero but it isn't as good on a pure performance basis as the stock cooler. I also refuse to use it on the basis that exausting the hot air onto my mobo is the design decision to make me want to punch the designer in the face. If it exausted the other way it would be accptable as many cases have vents right next to the GFX card so all the air would go out of the case but they had to pick the stupid idea.
So the Fatal1ty one is just like the LED version just with red leds? :stick:
Nice preview! I was thinking of going with an Accelero but now I'm thinking I'm going to wait for this one. that or the regular vf900cu
