i said Extreme editon it does excatly same OC as a XXX edition without Vmods or bios and thats true

im using the stock bios, stock volts.

600mhz core is not possible in coolbits since it tells me that the clock is not stable, however with powerstrip i can get 600mhz core 1800mhz mem and be artifact free in 3dmark05/06.

next time dont say diferent things in the forum cause ppl might dont believe you

i also only can get mx core 570Mhz with coolbites i didnt try powerstrip , what i know and what i said is that with coolbites XXX edition with stokcooler and stok bios does exactly same OC as the Extreme Edition with stokcooler and stok bios , and this is the REAL true

and lets stop with this crap and show all the real potencial of this 7900 GTs with or without vmods

Well said! His is not on stock cooling like yours, therefore they are not really comparable. Besides, there was no need for a rude tone like Pandora's had, we're not here to fight eachother, just beat our chests :D . The extra overclock he has is probably due to his upgraded cooling and/or a lucky card, not the differences between the Triple-X and the EXTREME editions. Put simply, I do indeed feel the extra cash on the higher versions is a waste unless you want the stock clocks to be all you run at with a full warranty (overclocking voids it right off the bat anyway).

AMEN! It turns out that apparrently all of the 7900GT's in this line of XFX basically overclock the same... sure there's bound to be anomalies or lucky cards like anyone sometimes gets, but otherwise... it's cheaper and it gives the same performance. Even IF the Triple-X edition gave somehow a magical 20mhz guaranteed more on the overclock, is it really worth $44 more (currently on newegg) to get a 3.5% core boost, which won't even be a 3.5% performance boost due to the RAM overclock being lower or the same, unless you are looking to bench and contend with the likes of Kingpin, etc.? Definitely not.

is their a bios mod out yet for this card? im still curious to how much potential these cards have. so far it seems some where around 10k in 3d05 is avg for 7900gt

yep i think for now only with hardmod .

chronic , no. i didnt try yet anything above XXX cloks , but in the core the MAX that past in coolbits on core its 570Mhz , on the memory didnt saw yet.

I think all 7900GT should do +- same cloks , i like this xfx extreme cause have a great default cloks for 24/7 (520/1500) :D

Yea I was going to order two XXX ones but so far all of them seem to be hitting the same speeds. Just gotta wait for all of them to get back in stock before I decide.
