The only company I have ever known not to be flexible with their RMAs is PNY... Perhaps you need to use more eloquent methods of dealing with them...Quote:

It is a little difficult when they either:
1) send you ram with parts falling off
2) send you ram that they swear does not exist
3) say that my warranty is void, because I switched my motherboards, and now they will no longer support my products. Then I find they are selling all the returns/extras on XS forums :stick:

Both the PC32000 and the PC4000 Redline UTT/BH modules have SPD strings saying "3200". It is just the strings in the SPD that are wrong, the module can be a XP4000. They obviously speed-bin them after programming the SPD. In any case, no reason to worry.Quote:
The 4000 redline set I ordered had a 4000 sticker on them but were 3200's.
They said they were out of 4000's so I have to pay to ship them back to get my money back.

That looks like a board that was coming in (For RMA) and got sent out by accident...
man it looks like there's a bunch of di-electric grease in the cpu socket, probably the result of some sub zero projects, maybe the previous owner fried it but now for whatever reason it's being shipped to you :lol:
I think I know what happened now.... The guy who fried that board sent it into DFI for RMA... DFI was doing a check on the board to see if it was eligible for RMA and removed the socket cover and seen the dielectric grease. This voided the warranty and DFI stuck the "return" sticker on it to mark it for return to the person who fried it...
When you submitted your RMA they sent you this dead board instead of your new one... They prob got the addresses mixed up.

Heck I once RMA'd a card that burst into flames (pushed the Voltmod too far) not only did I get them to replace it, but since they ran out of my type of card, they gave me an upgrade.. 9800pro to X800XL.. gotta love MSI RMA.. :D

Thing is after I got this board from Fry's I ran this board stock for about 10 min before It didn't boot. Thats it. Then packed it away for RMA.
