All seem to have onboard video to start with, very good, powerful HTPC soloution without any hot gpu's ruining my theatre silence. Perhaps I should pause my Turion HTPC build.... NAH.... :D
I'll need more than one TV in the house! :D

From PCWelt.de
it says in article that board is backwords compatible, so P-M works?
that should be interesting.
Man if thats the case, they need to bring it to the USA. I thought the socket had different pin out (Actually different locations for the pins I/O). Or is it just the Upper corner pins swapped for it not to work with the old 479? If thats the case the MOBO socket looks just like the CT-479 socket or old 479 socket.

Pricing for the AOpen i975Xa-YDG is about 300 Euros.

I dont see how this is possible, the two cpus have important differences in their pinouts so it's not like these pins can be "shared". I fear that comment on the reviw may be wrong. :mad:Quote:

if this Aopen is the same i'll just buy it :D
i was looking around online today and it really seems that aopen made the i975 board dothan compatable even though they are incompatable sockets. it might misinformation or aopen might have done their homework :)
the gigabyte board is listed as yonah only though :(
dvi out on the tiny aopen one is NICE!
The molex connector on the Aopen board is to power pci-e graphics cards (think 2 6600gt's)
So it's pin compatible and electrically compatible?
Might add some life to my Dothan.....
is this for yonah or for dothans????

Yonah, seems to be the best board available for the moment anyway
Are you 100$ sure that is for yanah???Cause the yonah board is green...that's why i am asking....:D
The black one is Micro-ATX...according to that website.
That was the preproduction board that we saw in green. It looks like the production board is that one.

It's in the (MATX) section, but it is a ATX. I needed babelfish :)
And it's a good on-line shop too, as soon as the boards are available, I'll get myself one probably over there :D
