Im also switching over. Allready did on my dothan and i now bought an t2600ES and also waiting on the aopen 975x. For the memory: go for some Fat body d9 like corsair 5400Ul.

And as the -90! I doubt it has and coldbug like dothan (all the way ln2).. what i think is mayb an coldboot under -150°C.

the core duo's are socket 479 right?

Their socket is called Socket 480.... but it only have 478 pins :)

They're discontinued? I just went to my local retailer and they had a couple in stock plus their supplier hasn't specified a limit on how many they have.

I think they just said they're discontinued to drive the price up.

they aren't being produduced anymore, they seem to have alot of leftovers though. Are you positive they were fat bodies?

I'm not at all into this Intel stuff, but does this mean we are going to be limited on FSB? Some explanation maybe o how Intel CPU's work... FSB-multi-HTT?
