In your opinion nikhsub is a machinist really needed for this? I would imagine a high quality drill press and some bits could do the job fine.
I can't be arsed with doing it myself for one. Two, if I am going to do something, I am going to do it right. I see far too many products that just suck, or have bad aspects to them. If you held this in your hands, you would not have made that comment. It is very well done, first on a lathe then on a $250,000 CNC. Anyway, if the price is not right, then I won't have them made, simple as that. At least I have my 2 :DQuote:

Well I just broke my costs down for MATERIALS only... $27. That is without machine time... I have no idea what people would be willing to pay? Not that I'm in this to make money, cause I won't.

Well the aquatube is around $50-60 and this is sooooo much better, so probably $50 at the most.

Yes he will, but I have nothing from him yet... and remember, the aquatube and the fass-o-matic (innovatek, $75) are priced WITHOUT any mounting hardware... I plan to do the same.Quote:

Little update, gonna tweak this to mate up with existing aquatube mounting plates... means that the glass and mounts will have 5 screws instead of 6 and this will be a drop in replacement for folks with aquatubes...
Are you gonna engrave it like AquaComputer does with their front plates? I'd be cool if instead of AquaComputer they said XtremeSystems.
I kinda like the diamond plating idea. Very unique.
