Yonah @ cascade/LN2 with a X1900XTX crossfire setup on the AOpen board. :slobber:
Crossfire is supported by the i975X - though :woot:
Guys Guys when is this board going to hit the US markets.... I need to know if YONAH is also going to share the MEROM socket.
Alex
Lets get a group buy for the Aopen 975 board. I am ready to dump my DC Opteron, DFI, ATI for Good. I want Yonah, SLI, Slientess:slobber: @low 20 sec super-pi runs:woot:
Sonoma ( @3.1ghz ---> PI 23s )
L1 Cache = 3 Cycle
L2 Cache = 10 Cycle
Yonah ( @2.7ghz---> PI 23s )
L1 Cache = ? Cycle
L2 Cache = ? Cycle

Pls post hre some internet shops for cpu and mb.

Lets hope to see some results of JOHAN LN2 testing soon. This waiting is getting itchy.:confused:
How does a socket 478 fit on that Aopen board
Yonah will supposedly share a socket with Merom.Quote:

Isn't Sonoma just a low voltage version of Yonah?Quote:

The gain is from the much faster chipset and prob ram.Quote:

The L2 latency on Yonah is 40% weaker than the dothan.Quote:

Max FSB of 265MHz!? the to modes of 166-199 and 200-265 is controlled by a jumper.
With a T2600, 13x265 = 3445MHz would be max clock. And no "budget" overclocking since T2300 would be motherboard limited at 2650Mhz (10x265).
Will the times of Turbo.PLL rise again ? :rolleyes:
It would be ideal to buy an old used Vapochill. Even the first versions of Vapochill will be able to cool these things overclocked to the limit. They have a cooling capacity of 110 watts, right?
Hm, what about T2600 ES? Shouldn't that one have higher multis available? :D
If nothing else, the dual core Yonahs on the Aopen board at least could make a formidable 24/7 rig even at stock... although you usually don't buy $500 cpu's for 24/7, of course :D

Hmm, so it won't be a benching board (never thought it would anyway), but a T2300@ 10x265 is plenty for silent 24/7 operation if you ask me. I'm really more worried about the power delivery/Vcore etc.

Seems like the T2400 at 292 euro is your best bet in Europe at any retail store.
