lets see $700+ for the 1900 that does 10k and 11k according to premilenary tests, or $450 for a GTX 256meg here in the forums that does 9000+.
ill keep the extra 350 and put it towards a 3800 X2 and increase my benchmarks and gaming experience even more.
i love who ever has a kick butt card at a good price point, but this whole graphics race is financially getting out of hand. So much that it makes it impossible for someone to afford a card. i mean for christs sakes already $700+ ?!! i remember when the 6800 Ultra's were marked up not too far away from that and they werent worth it. Neither will these.
and a crossfire score of only 13k ? $1400+ worth of video cards and it only pulls 13k ? thats a joke whether it comes from ati or nvidia $1400 will buy you one kick ass laptop or a down payment on a car for heavens sake.
one would dream that for $1400 worth of video cards for crossfire, the performance would be such that nothing in the world could compare with its intensity, and yet, the score's do nothing more than make you realise that crossfire is another doomed failure from ati. it isnt sli and never will be.
anyways im neither for or against all these new cards but they could show a little respect to those who just got their cards and :banana::banana::banana:ing make the cards that are out there now perform the way they promised they would.
wait wait... don't do that.. just toss those x1800's down the toilet and tell us for the real performance get the x1900 so by this summer you have an x2000 ? screw that.
anyways,, nice cards,, visciously insane price. will it live up to the hype. i highly highly doubt it.. nothing they have done lately has......
good luck to you if you choose to get one... :\
Now that was one loud scream :D
Don`t worry about the customers. These who have R520 in their possesion are very happy with it. And that XF score is SOOOOO CPU limited ;)
Know what ? I`m still on 6800GT@Ultra+ and I`m very happy with it since I`m using 1024x768.
R580 will perform better just for it`s price difference with R520 ;)...well maybe even more with some shading-hungry games :D
I bet it will be a huge seller just because people always want the "best" even if the value is terrible in comparison to the xt.Quote:

Prices
- Firstly, you can grab an X1800XT 512MB for $470 here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ATT=14-102-629 ...and even cheaper elsewhere.
Performance
- Secondly, the X1900 looks to be able to do 11k at stock at least, so thats faster than the GTX 512MB, at a lower price, and its going to be available in quantities from the info present here.
Crossfire
- The crossfire score of 13k was an unusually low ESTIMATE by Hexus. They did not state that when they posted the numbers, but no one outside of ATI and its partners even known of a crossfire edition X1900, let alone a regular X1900. Please use logic when looking at information on the web. The Currently XT's, with crossfire editions available for $480 and a retail one available for $470, do ~13k stock with an fx...and you'll still have enough money for that X2 3800+ because X1800 Crossfire cost you $950...which is how much ONE GTX 512MB is going for in the resale market...about the only place you can get one right now.
X1900
- The X1900XT should reach that mark on stock air. Think X1800XT Crossfire power in 3d05 with a single card.
- The price of X1800XTs are going down to make space for the X1900s...and it wont cost ATI all that much more than the X1800, so expect the 699 price tag...but do also expect it to come down fairly quickly due to high demand and available supply...somewhat the opposite of the GTX 512MB...though ATI still has to prove its claims of availability to many enthusiasts.
Whats Coming Next
- Most already know that the next card from ATI and Nvidia will NOT be the same pumped up revisions like the current ones (G70-> G71, R520 -> R580). The next solutions will be Unified Shader Architecture solutions, which has been confirmed by both from Futuremark Developers and roadmaps we've seen. The next cards (R600, G80) will have a host of new features, including gddr4 compatibility, Directx 10 support etc...but thats q4 2k6. Its not going to be yet another X2000 or G7x revision, so the procrastinator's approach to upgrading is invalid here.
The fact is the X1800XT 512MB has reached GTX 256MB levels, and nvidia will only get a response to that AFTER the R580, adding insult to injury.
I'm not going to doubt the power of the GTX 256MB though. Many top notch OCers have stayed away from the X1800s due to the difficulty and lack of consistency in overclocking the cards, while on the other hand the GTX 256MBs have seen 17k in 3d05 on air...a result which speaks for itself.
The potential is there in the x1900s, and the deals are coming for those who want 512MB of memory over the GTX's 256MB (as that'll be of benefit for 3d06, seeing as 256mb will be the MINIMUM requirement ;) ).
My apologies to those who read through it, and a "no hard feelings" to those who skipped it.
Thx.

Everything else is or could be true, except for this price comparison:
It's true that the x1800xt can be found really cheap and verry close to the cheapest GTX 256, but the GTX 512mb doesnt cost about $900.Quote:

As i stated in the thread...I stated "resale" not retail, turok ;) Which means if you check the f/s section, you'll see what I'm talking about ;)
In any event, the $1400 figure for current X1800 Crossfire is bloated, that was one of many points.

According to Yahoo!'s currency conversion, 6000 SEK = €642 which is the price for the x1900xt on that swedish site. Price seems about right. And Scandinavia is always a littlebit higher in prices, atleast so I noticed when I was in Denmark.
How true is that, a proof:Quote:

Actual rate 1 Euro = 1.21378 US Dollar
At that rate, the newegg item costs: 284.234 Euros. So it costs ~75$ more for me here in Spain. And that in the cheapest shop I know...
//EDIT: corrected calculations xD
We would never. :nono:Quote:

Thx...though i tell most ppl that i stopped counting after the big 3k :p
It seems that my post count has always exceeded my 3dmark score and now that I have an x800pro which can do 5k+ in 3dmark05...i wont be able to use it until February, by which time 5k in 3dmark06 will be my new target...and that's going to be R580 territory :p: :(
We may see X1900 benchies on 3d06 as soon as 3d06 is launched, however, ATI may have NDA's against that...

Prices from the US: X1900 XTX $649

Yeah, that's been floating around, good job though putting everything in a one-stop thread. :)
Pertaining to availability, HKEPC just put up an article stating one retailer they talked to has 10x the amount of x1900's in stock than they did X1800's on launch day. So yeah, in case there was any doubt, very hard launch.
Pertaining to f/s and price, I personally like this price on the XT (credit to R3D forums):
http://www.techonweb.com/products/pr...=C49940&src=FG
From the looks of things, it'll be $550 actual retail for an XT, with most-likely a quick dip to perhaps even under $500. $600 for the seemingly redundant XTX, but surely those prices will drop quickly too.
Hmm...I wonder what the complete X1900 line will cost (XL/XT/XTX) when G71 is released. I bet it will be considerabley cheaper because of the cheaper ram and longer time in the market, plus ATi's promise to cut prices $50 in March. Even if losing to G71, the R580 line in the March timeframe may offer quite the high-end bargain...Hmm, I wonder where the 18XL-19XT will all settle...Surely there will be a great deal to be found somewhere in that range.
Hey turtle...looking forward to 3d06 coming out and seeing the x1900 perform :)

I just can`t wait for X1900XL or some comparable G71 for decent price.
If it won`t come out soon I`ll just have to take X1800XL for good price from US participants ;) Mine 6800GT is moving to F/S pretty soon.

They are first so i would assume the price will soon go south, they also stated that they already got the cards and that shipments will start on the 23.
The price point is realy good compared to GTX512 wich costs at the very least 100€ more here.
I know it's still expensive, but $650 isn't that bad for the x1900 when you compare it to $750+ for the 512mb GTX.
And let's not forget that the x1900 is (for the most part) better than the 512 GTX...
it's to be compared to G71, not GTX 512.
It's hard to compare to a product that will not be there the 24?
