most 3dmarks are horrible when they come out, but they get better. They show Nvidia and ATI what they have to do to get higher scores.. Just another generation. a Generation to were you'll have flies flying around, and all around BETTER graphics.

so i should be able to get 30FPS... :p:
You can only hope at this point :banana:Quote:

Looks like it works to me.
LOL dont get in a hissy, thankfully 3dmark does not correlate to todays games. Well 3dmark 2001 does correlate the most but at this point 2001 probably corelates more to superPI LOL! 11fps with two 7800gtx sli? thankfully todays games run great on a $50 video card!
Good thing 3dmark isnt a game ;)
maybe on your 7" LCD, with your world record 9700pro run on a Pentium 1 200mhz:DQuote:

hmmm, i remember when i first broke 10k in 3dmark2000:) i had a little party im sure
i dont know why but i get this strange addiction to these damn benchmarks!
Have you guys been wishing for this ??? lol It seems we'll be seeing it quite soon. Courtesy of HKEPC.

- The X1900XTX will require a Minimum 450W PSU
- Crossfire for these will require a 550W PSU as minimum
- Or A PSU with minimum 38A 12v Rail
Rest of it I can't decipher.

Cant they just put the last sentance, dont care about PSU W, how much they drain from rails, thats more like it :D
I just hope they get away from CF / SLI soon - 2 freakin' expensive :P
Hicks, Im not tryin' to defend Ti4200, but, 01SE is still the most fun IMO, reason?? - The score depends on tweaks / HW skills, not just equitment.. :)
yep. just too expensive for normal people...Quote:

Our friends over at HKEPC has got hold of a X1900XTX card already and the R580 die size is noticeably larger than the R520. If the process technology remains at 90nm for the R580, the estimated number of transistors stand at 350M or more compared to 321M for the R520. Radeon X1900 XTX will be clocked at 695MHz core and 1550MHz memory while the Radeon X1900 XT will be clocked at 625MHz core and 1450MHz memory. ATi has revealed that Radeon X1900 XTX will require at least 450W PSU with 30A in 12V rail. If in Crossfire setup, the system will require at least 550W PSU and the 12V rail will need to provide 38A.
Those power requirements are insane, damn.
well i do know that my OCZ 600w couldnt keep my pair of 512's running in SLI even with no overclock or vmods
had to use a separate PSU for the GFXs only to be able to 3D bench hehehe :slapass:
I think it's a good thing, what good would it be to bring out a 3dmark that runs well? Noone would be compelled to buy new hardware, that is probably the major purpose of 3dmark, to get people buying newer stuff, it works and it looks like it will work again...
this will run fine one next gen cards in sli cf and that is what they and the vid card manufacts want...01 is by far the best tweaking windows and so on u can see what u change and how it effects it...03 is only starting to necome fun...
DRAGON
can you say 140W of heat? yay!
and i think 2k6 will not be a benchmark only, there will be a game based on that engine i think :D
wich will be really nice!!! :D
is it me or did they use low mega pixel cam to disguise the writingvs on the ram....
my guess---> 0.8ns
:D
did you check out the last line in the link.
That is not 3D Mark '06. It's a joke. And the next version should be '07 if you follow the number sequencing.

Now why shouldnt there be a 3Dmark2006? - that thing with ATI cat 5.13 is a bit :banana::banana::banana:ed though :S (13th month on a year, huh)
is it still the same case for X1800/X1900, that separate PSUs for nvidia cards are okay but separate PSUs for ATI cards can potentially kill ATI cards due to the electronic/power circuitary on ATI?Quote:

0.8 isn't even in production phase, much less mass production, so there's no way we're going to see a X1800xt with anything remotely close to that.
1.1 is entirely owned by NVidia, as reported by the Inquirer.
It's definitely 1.2 or 1.26ns... A pity really, this thing is going to cry for more bandwidth!
