NO! the heatshrink just needs to be hotter, I used a hair dryer and put the heatshrink right on the end of it and left it there for about 5 seconds then wiggled the hairdryer to blow heat all over the shrink, and if that dosnt work buy a heatshrink gun for like 15$, that will blow hot enough ;).

That thing is fu**ing huge man. Congrats on the purchase. I want one too :slobber:
-
so where did you get the rad at? 0.0 i must have one.
-
-
buy the fan for that rad you will have nice temps :D
-
That's crazy! I'm anxious to see how this thing will perform! I was at an electronics supply store the other day, and they had some 12vdc fans that were like 4-5" across... I was wondering what I could pair those with. :)
-
naw, one inch connections, huge end tanks, single pass... i think those're designed not to be brick walls :)

One seller on ebay sells these Copper Black Painted Koyo Rads for $78-92. Most other Race Car Radiators are not black, and are made of Aluminum. I like theses because they match well with black cases

I am currently looking for a Automobile Radiator Fan with Universal Mounting, because I do not think there are any fans specifically for Koy Radiators. It may be possible to set it up with a potentiometer or some voltage controller. Since they run off 12V, Can run off a Molex maybe and run it at low Rpms for silence. Would be nice to have a shroud, but I would have to make it myself out of Aluminum (troublesome)
Likely, performance will be good Passive :)

woo look at all the tubes!
-
omg wow...that's a lot of tubing....i can't wait to see how this thing performs. It looks freaking insane
-
HOLY :banana::banana::banana:!!that thing is huge!what coolant are you planning to use with it??
i heard that oil works really well, but it restricts the flow, but i think your pump can handle it. Isn't that radiator a bit OVERKILL
-
omgomgogmgogmgogm1!!! look at that tubing jesus christ it makes me hory!!      :slobber: :slobber: :slobber: :toast: :toast: :toast:

Fittings have arrived. McMaster forgot to add 1" to 5/8", therefore pump us receiving from 1/2" thus starving of water slightly.
Have connected tubes to Radiator, and Filled system with Distilled Water, Zerex, and leftover Blue Colored Coolant from last setup.
Pics to come

Very nice setup except for the gpu and cpu waterblocks.
One of the few times I would support the use of parallel waterblocks. With that single pass gigantor radiator you are gonna need alot of flow to keep the water velocity in the radiator at an aceptable level to get peak performance.

nuff pics, need numbaaars!! (sp?) :p:
-
Cant wait to see what temps you will get with this huge rad :D
Keep up the nice work :)

kapt.. those are 5/8" Y's... if he was able to get the tubing all the way over, he would have had to use a lubricant, or be the incredible hulk...
suffice to say that tubing isnt going anywhere. I am a relatively strong guy and I was only able to get 1/2" Id clearflex and tygon to the little parallel lines on the fitting before i gave up.

hehe. my best was boiling some 1/2" tygon and getting it over a 3/4" barb.. suffice to say i had a fun time with that. To remove the tygon from the barb i actually had to cut off.. i used my entire body strength to remove the tubing and it wouldnt come off.. suffice to say i didnt need hose barbs.
