i cant wait for 975 boards to appear. Also, i thought the 9xx series arent supposed to work on 955X? Or is that just Conroe or whatever the other next gen chips are?
indeed, I thought as well that new 65nm Preslers ain't compatible with 955 chipset?
Please somebody confirm this!
All 65nm Single and Double Core will work with the 955X, except for some odd reason Vic has the 955XE working on the 955X chipset based ASUS wich Intel said it was going to be the ONLY CPU not to work in the 955X. Then again, I have no plans for a 955XE.Quote:

Victor,
could you let us know where the system is 24/7 stable?
Does it run prime95 stable there?
Also, which bios are you using ?
Cheers,
B

At 4.5 it will pull even with the X2..but so did the 800 Series Intel chips..And that beiing the case it appears the die shrink has done little to improve performance.Quote:

The real testing will only be when you and I can grab a retail version of the shelf and put H2O cooling on it, then and only then, will we really know how good Presler is at overclocking. :fact:Quote:
