hey deathman, see you changed your sig to 625/750 1.275/1.25 is that fully 100% stable and artifact free now? I remember you saying all the overclocks you had were no longer after further testing as you ran into some issues. I just checked the tracking number on my card and it may be here tomorrow now instead of thursday as it is already in my city's sortation plant.

Will come in handing once my zalman fatality arrives. Should be getting it tomorrow. Then i'll do some more OC'ing.
The 625/750 1.275/1.95/1.95 in my sig is stable as far as I can test currently. So now its time for more OCing and tests later this week just probley not today :(Quote:

guys, i tried to run 3d mark 03 .. and got lower score then with X800GTO2 :(
also i see some minor snowing for example in 3D mark 05 - fill rate single texturing .-(
bumped voltage to 1.2v of gpu, no change.
Cooled with zalman, default gpu and mem. Temp little over 50C

My cores the same as Fuggers. BTW that was when I took of the stock cooler it looked much better the second time after I used some Vodka to clean the core off better, wish I took a picture of that though.

spajdr, try reseating the heatsink. I know I didn't seat mine good enough the first time so it could the issue. Oh ya if you can slap a 120mm or an extra fan that you got and point it upward into the the zalman, it dropped temps very nicely along with opening the back panels to exhaust the air out from the fan sorta blowing that direction.
truth is that single texturing test make these artefacts, but multitexturing not, even quake IV from what i seen in like 5 minutes didnt make any artefacts. Maybe a driver bug?

cantankerous : yeah on stock, as you see on picture, they randomly flickering on screen, but only in that test and maybe sometimes in pixel shader 2.0 test (elephant). Tried Ruby and Toyshop demo, no artefacts.

deathman20 : yes, no difference. Single texturing still got artefacts, Multi Texturing no, didnt make sense :-)
EDIT: enabled AA4x and artefacts gone in single texturing
very weird, worrying with those on stock but perhaps they are just drivers. The fact that they show up on some tests and not others makes me wonder. Ill run that test when I get my card hopefully tomorrow and let you know what I come up with.

Even with AA4x there is some very minor snowing, really weird, i bet you will not have this problem.
Hmm canyon flight shows some flickering on water, appears then dissappear for few seconds ... :(

its from 3D Mark 05 test i think, but since i got same problem in canyon flight, it doesnt really matter, i hope that reinstall windows will help, since sapphire X1800XL is out of stock and will be for another month, at least in shop where i bought it, , so i will get probably money back, but what to buy? :(
so i reinstalled windows, no difference, gfx card is bad, RMA :-( now i wonder if its not better to get 7800GT.
Ouch man that sucks. I prefer ATI over nVidia card wise so I'd say ATI :) But thats just me.
i can get for 380$ Gainward 7800GTX Ultra, so im tempted to take it :-) well .. until it arrives i will try some overclock with that damaged baby.
Also ati tray tools didnt worked, said something that he cant recognize my bios on card, or others got same problem?
Yea I have the same problem, said bios cannot be read, contact manufacturer. That is normal so don't worry about it.
spajdr, I have to ask so please be honest. Did you just get these artifacts after mounting the Zalman? Perhaps the card was fine before hand and something has happened since mounting the Zalman that caused those artifacts.
