I bet this chip could run like at least 4 video cards with no bottle neck :slobber:
cmon dude test the mother .
yea should be intresting results. But what i'm realy waiting for is merom and conroe. Those have new tech. But who knows what this litle monster cpu can do. We will wait for you hicookie, complete your training soon. I hope i will like the results as much as i like the chick with a sword on your avatar ;)
this is gonna be sweet!!

I want see benchmark results :slobber: I think 65nm will be good...
you shouldn't expect gold out of lead, Presler and Cedar Mill perform no better than Prescott and Smithfield, all the 65nm process serves is to decrease power consumption and TDP. They do overclock slightly better however than the 90nm counterparts, iirc, according to a preview I saw average overclock of a Cedar Mill was in the 4.3-4.5ghz range and on a Presler in the 3.9-4ghz range on stock Intel heatsinks.Quote:

This certainly is one beast if it doesn't have a problem with the cold (it shouldn't--no on-die mem controller).
nine months isn't exactly years of development, but it's not something they just threw together(now, I will admit, they did say they rushed it, however I think this to be a tad over-exaggeration). There were special on-die thermal diodes, and Over head management components that needed to be added, they even orginaly wanted to use indpendent busses for each core, however that now won't appear until paxville. I don't think the cold will be a problem, presler isn't widly different from Smithfield, it uses the packaging system that they orginaly prefered in smithfield, but were unable to integrate because of time contraints.Quote:
