not really man, e3 were OK the newer ones, but e6 core are crap.... the e3 0531 cpmw i got does little above 2700 with 1.55, but 0528, 0536 (two of them) and 0540 e6 cores none did above 2500 stable.......plus i think that e3 is gone now, they were packing them in box version from what i have seen but now boxed are e6
My CPU is just... the same as the one you described above. It needs 1.47v just to be stable at 2.6 GHz (prime95 stable). I couldn't get it stable at 2.7 GHz, even at 1.6v (prime95). And plus, the temperature gets a little disturbing... This is all stock cooling.

I'm getting a cooltek 600W in just a few days, so that answer will be coming.
I understand that week 0517 is a good week, this was just a cpu I bought on some norwegian sales forum and I expected a Winchester so I didn't even test it first, it actually has been lying on a shelf here for somewhere around 90 days now, until today I started checking up the stepping, and found out that it actually was a venice - not a winchester - and e pretty good venice aswell. Clocks about the same as my opteron 170 with this PSU, gets 2.8 Ghz there aswell :)
