I am actually not certain how the P5WD2 handled the PCI-E lanes. From what the bios options are it looks like that the first slot runs 16x and the second slot runs only 4X.
This could potentially been restricting somewhat. I did not look into it yet.

4x wont make a difference? I reckon it would.. but 8x would be a minimal difference..

Even Xpress 200 CF won`t do 16/16

sli expert is the normal NF4 chipset so singelcrad = 16lanes and sli=8lans pro card.

ps: expert is the same as the sli-dr only other layout ;)

well, this is my best score yet with My X850XT Crossfire on P5wd2.. and yes, the cpu is still running on AIR..

I am still running stock speeds on the 2 cards..

nice ,that crossfire is working .but the scores dont seem right . i get over 9000 with just one 7800gtx goldensample standard clocks and cpu 4,7 . so investing in 2 new cards is not really worth it .wouldnt mind seeing to x1800xt though .

the X850XT crossfires will be about the same as 2 6800 Ultra's in SLI.

But now think of it.. the X850's in Crossfire, you have 32 available pipelines (16 per card)

But your single 7800GTX has 24 pipelines and if you put them into SLI would have 48.

wow - are you sure you have Crossifre enabled? That is way too low for your system specs

Just got my crossfire mastercard today. The 0519 bios or newer (if there is any) are the only ones to work?
