No dongle--it has to go over PCIe and slows down a lot
No compositing chip--you only get half the frames or half the image (depending on mode).
BUT....if all you're going for is FPS (regardless of how it displays), the drivers DFI had will split the work between two non-MC's and will get the highest benches.

but for the new gen it's not both..they can display the full image via the pci-e bus.

R5xx has core logic to composite the images and the double-compositing chips? That doesn't make sense :stick:
EDIT: just saw the fact that X1300 can....but who cares about those in CF?
