The 7x scores are coming from an FX53 running stock with crappy 2yr old RAM inside a shuttle. Not too bad.
I've tried ATiTool, Rivatuner with no luck. Neither can find the card. I guess it is time to order the Storm watercooling kit with the new Swiftech GPU block to see what I can get done.
Funny thing is it never moves off 63c with my lowflow block that has four other blocks in the loop. Water temp didnt' go up 2c either.

Why dont you try ATI Tool or Powerstrip ? You can set the max possible clock with those so you're not limited.

You sure the ole "shim too high" issue isnt biting you?
63C seems nutz for water, even lowflow. Both my X850's had to have the shim's removed, they were not making solid contact with thier heatsinks.
Both of the programs have not been updated and will not see a X1XXX type cards and will not alow any overclocking options.Quote:

It "should" fit actually, they both use identical hole layouts...Quote:

Have you tryed Ati Tray Tools ? May be that one has some support ?
And withe the temp. I had the same with my X700. Would not go below 52c. Strange ting. I think a buggy sensor. Of the heat is not transfered well trough the chip.
isn't powerstrip suppost to be driver independant ?Quote:

N00b question.... X1800 any better then 7800 GTX?
Answer for ya master... Depends on the application. In some yes, in some no, like how it always is between ATi and NVidia products.
ATI X1xxxhas more image quality options (especially angle-independent AA), but 7800GT/X is available now. ATI X1xxx series will have a greater lead in the future, with games with long shader scripts.
Eh shadow, that's a "possibility", it cannot currently be proven.
Also, future games will use radiosity, and therefore ATi will be at a disadvantage.
lol deleted per request
Is there no ATI winclk for the X1800 series available yet
This isnt a radiosity thread. Its RickCain's X800XL Results thread. Pls continue that conversation here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/....php?p=1081907 .

Rick you need to email W1zzard directly. I think he is working on a beta version of atitools that allows for overclocking the x1800xl.
I posted a few months ago in General Hardware forums on buying 2 7800GTX's now ATI has released this and dont know what one to get :slobber: I can't get 2 though because I dont have a crossfire motherboard.
