nice voltages! I noticed that my new 3700 has an odd stepping KAB2E 0532 XPMW and it is very less voltage thirsty than some... 1.49v @ 2805 is all night prime stable... I am going to push it harder once the AS5 sets. should be 24 more hours or so...

Huh? These aren't good results at all dude--he's using phase change and can barely crack 3GHz with it. People are breaking 3GHz wtih AIRCOOLING on the new Opterons.

Besides they finally confirmed 90nm A64s s754:

ADA3200AIO4BX - Athlon 64 3200+, 754pin, Rev. E6

Definately not 65nm. AMD is still a ways off from that. Not even Intel has it ready yet, and they're leading the transistion.

I'm sure wanting someone to put a 146 on phase. It's going to be hard to sell these sd and venices after the showing so far on the opertons.

I was only really commenting on the 1.47 vcore @ 3ghz... it would appear many of the other comments were also directed at the low voltage(s). ;)

People are doing that with aircooling on the Opties ;)

Voltage and all....anyway, these take volts like other E6s, namely the dual cores.

Ahhh buggered, my chip can't do that on air, but it and others can do that on water with 60C higher idle ;)

Not to mention it costs a fraction of the price :D

And dog....there ain't no argument here, just a friendly little competition for stephen to show an E6 chip that can compete with the Opterons....simply to illustrate which is the better one to get right now, that's all. And he only showed a suicide...I bet your chip could get to 3.2GHz with .1 more volts simply for a screen shot. ;)

I know the later variant is more probable. But still it is strange why 30xxx when the change is not that big, just a disabled dual-core.

How do you know its a dual core? All socket 939 1MB cores were xxF7x, Clawhammer and the old SanDiego. This one might be a new revision maybe? But 30F72 IMHO indicates a single core processor.

I think it is a dual-core chip with one core disabled (therefore a single core with huge die size). It's likely because of the revision - all 1MB dual-cores are E6 while all 512kB dual-cores are E4, exactly as those chips.

A 4000+ suiciding at 3.2 Ghz on phase isn't impressive at all. Bachus_anonym's 3700+ is stable at 3.31 Ghz on phase. And not surprisingly, it's a week 15, not an E6 ;)

Hey all, I showed these cpu's to give you guys a peek at the future of the diego core - not to impress or compete. If that's the case, I'd ask all of you to show your cpu's and not show OTHER PEOPLE's. :rolleyes: If you wanna go that route, I'm sure I've got or had a cpu tucked away that could blow yours outta the water (and if I don't I can get one). Look, if you guys plan on crapping on this cpu anymore, please do it in a comparison with ANOTHER E6 Diego and not one particular cpu, which one person bought a certain week on a certain month in a certain year because that person's cpu would be just as hard to obtain as the one I have sitting here.... :rolleyes:

Related to Opteron 939 the only minor/major problem is that 144&146 models are lack in multiplicator. so it will be difficult to get 3.5G from a 144 , 388Htt :D ...
If those E6 are opteron cache truncated , didn't they do at least as the original opteron in overclocking? :confused:

By the way my 3700+ sandy is prime stable 2850Mhz@1.28v ;) ...

Thnx :toast: .....but TBH it's still quite difficult to tell if these new rev are superior/equal to the current rev diegos in terms of OC. It's just too early and not enough samples tested ;)
