What sorta pump are you gonna use?
Comon guys theres lots of pumps that will work at -100c such as STEEL CASING PUMPS, Fuel pumps (like the ones im using),etc.
Ok so after they get a special pump, special tubes, special liquid, and build the whole thing they get worse results than a direct die cascade. Not to knock it but this seems pretty pointless... I still want to see how the liquid works out at -100C :D

I think the point is that you can cool multiple heatsources with one unit, be that 1 cpu and 1 gpu or 2 cpu and 2 gpu or any combination in between. A fluid chilled system has much more potential than a direct die, if you can find the right cooling medium.
DD evaps are tiny in comparison to a liquid chiller evap, so you can make it more efficient, the trick is to find a fluid that can be pumped easily at cascade temperatures.

John.
Well Tommy i am curiously waiting to see it. I understand the fun of it. and dont sweat the comments from some of the others. he is entitled to his opinion and its just that. Just have fun with it.. cause thats what its all about anyhow. Right?
You'd still have to insulate the entire board if you're pumping-100c liquids around it so with a water system you'd have even more insulation.
Mount the evap in a solid DI/ln2 unit and fill it with the liquid ;) Now THAT would be good. I ment cascade DD, not SS. If DD produces worse temps than chilled liquid your evap is horrible.Quote:

still pulling down atm,we got to retune the 2nd stage a little bit but i think she's ok right now! notice no slush even at -95*c ;)
i like the tank.
what was it?
It's a cryo stat :) google the word and see what ya find ;)
I'm interested to see what the load temps are going to be!
Wow that thing looks cool, cant wait to see it finished.
G
No slushing at -95C?! Does the liquid still have good heat transfer properties? Where's the monster industrial pump? :D
very nice work so far, keep it up, cant wait to see some benchies
the pump is cam shy ;) we will be useing it tomorrow when the 500 lb's of LN2 get to FUGGER's shop, gona do some WR breaking!
Sweet. I cant wait.Quote:

pls
ill get pic's when i get home..Fugger,Chilly1 and I are sitting at the office with the new LN2 setup ready to rock,we got many chip's to run and a few good vid card's..
are using the pump to pump ln2?
cool!
