No probs solved my test #8 issues running memtest86+ right now at 11x274mhz 3-3-3-8 2T 8-18-2223 at 2.79v !
it takes 4ever to run std mode.....Quote:

funny you mention that as that's where i am first standard test pass test #7 17% mark 47+ mins :)
hehehehe, u know what, i got #8 error on 295 DDR590 2T
but the thing is that, if u check the "memory" show on memtest86+
only 3071M showing on the screen
and like test1 test2 are not smooth, it runs like 1% 2% then just jump to 100%. super wired!!!
one other thing! don't trust memtest86+ too much ^^
heh first post

To start with for 4GB, in DFI NF4 advance chipset bios section you need to enable PCI MMIO memory hole option to properly map 4GB otherwise you will only see 3GB of memory.
ops.... my bad~~ XDQuote:

Eva, very impressive. Try stronger drive strength and longer max. async. latency and higher read preamble, these key settings are most important.
yeah with 623-3 bios, premable set at 6ns or higher = no pc boot even at stock speeds for 2x 1GB config for crucials and even for my 2x 512MB Centon PC3200LL TCCD tests as well... haven't tried a different bios since i swapped my SLI-D for UT SLI-DR board heh
Amazing stuff eva! Big props! :toast:
If I were you, I'd try different drive strengths, but other than that, you seem to be doing just fine.
Ok, its been 7 hours now George....... enough of the memtest !! :D
i just wonder..... do u guys really think that memtest86+ very important
or prime95 is more important
to me prime95 is much much more
I usually just use memtest86 to verify that the memory is stable enough to not corrupt windows, then I test in windows with memtest and Super PI. I usualy only use prime to test cpu but it works good for memory too.Quote:

yeah memtest86+ is important http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=327 :) but it's only part of the testing process
@11x274mhz 3-3-3-8 2T 8-18-2223 at 2.85v test #8 looped for 6+ hrs got 11 errors in total at pass #31 and 45 heh not
What kind of Sandra bandwidth scores are you getting at 274x11 2t with the 4 sticks ?
haven't loaded windows yet heh
set at 10x280mhz 3-3-3-8 2T in memtest so can test dimm stick config, swapped the 2 sticks on farthest from cpu socket around and got less errors related to 2100-2700MB range so right now config is
cpu socket
dimm 1 = L503 dual channel stick #2
dimm 2 = ZD2T single stick #3
dimm 3 = L503 dual channel stick #1
dimm 4 = ZD2T single stick #1
redoing 11x274mhz now
I didn't know you Aussies spoke Candian ? :DQuote:

will do some benchies later today :)
also for guess2098, with prime vs memtest question, are you able to fully allocate all or most ram in blend mode ? as i can't get more than 1487MB of ram allocated http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=73663
no probs once swapped sticks around the dimm slots

For Major, bandwidth ain't bad for 3-3-3-8 2T either

Nice! very Nice! :toast:
Just one thing EVA off topic, you posted about prime and not getting it to
read or test 2 gigs fully, doesn't that mean 4gigs is out of the question and if
so, doesn't that make prime not a good benching program when 2 gigs or
better for overall stability?
 HAha Eva, THANKS ! you simple killed my doubts !! Im going for 4x1 Ballistix Z503 for sure !
Well did some more reading and partly it's to blame on winxp pro 32bit http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=1327 it only addresses per process 2GB max - i guess dual core cpus could fully test 4GB via 2x 2GB prime sessions then ?Quote:

guess means 4GB for winxp pro 32bit is really wasted heh better off with 2GB
Eva2000,
Are you running Bank Interleave on?
Care to peek what Sandra says about the Bank Interleave setting?
It's located in the Mainboard info-tab, iirc.
Which is it, 2-way or 4-way when all 4 sticks are installed? What about with 2 sticks?
yeah bank interleave enabled.. post #44 in this thread has my sandra screenies but doesn't mention 2 or 4 way heh :)
George, if it makes you feel any better I got bored tonight and tried my 4x1gig sticks in my game rig, DFI NF4 Ultra and X2 4600+. I could only get 272mhz stable with the 11x multi. So, once again.......its all in the memory controller ;)
