And it mounts to all hardware with what it comes with. No need to pay another $5 for the second mounting kit. Good for people like me who have ATi but plan to go to nVidia in the next 6 months.
Bill is a very smart guy with some great test gear, but if his data is showing that the mcw55 is giving similar performace to the G4.. well then we have all been duped for the last year, and whatever we thought about waterblocks is now null and void.
but since that isnt the case, its very possible something went wrong with that test.
nik, is it possible you interrepted the results incorrectly?????

I'm going to guess those are different die sizes. At least it would make sense given that high end GPUs have enormous dies compared to CPUs. Not to mention I don't think you could C/W that low from such a simple block at such flowrates with his standard 100mm^2 die.Quote:

well the MCW55 would be around 2 to possibly 3x the flowrate at 5.4psi as the storm would be at 6psi. no?
a more interesting graph would be the cw/hydralic power. this would tell you what a particular pump would be able to get through each and the performance..
or for a direct comparison not based on the pump, a c/W per flow graph would be helpful..
im gonna go check out swifty's website to see if they dont have some of those..
same performance at roughtly 1.5times the flowrate... thats pretty dang baffling.. it MUST be with a different die or something.
