What is your week/stepping batch? Are the numbers on the IHS seeable changed? Would you be able to make a picture off the IHS?

You can remove the IHS, because you can put AS5 or some better thermalpaste between core and IHS and put it back...
but if you are OCing - removing IHS helps MUCH your OC usually... so i would try to mod the waterblock :)

There is a thread about removing IHS, make sure you read it before removing...

nothing, in this time i used 4000+ sandy and venice lay on table between ashtray and mousepad

ALL you people wanting a guide, that aint gonna happen, what seems to have happened is a random coincidence, possibly too much voltage on boot (dont try) or something like that. Lucky man.
