and i not to sore about the asus
Heres another question, does the epox let you use higher multipliers if you have a XP2100, since I cut the chip it defualts at 133x13. Would I be able to use the 13.5 or 14??
OPP
I just thought about it....only 35mhz or so away from a 1 gig overclock:eek:  That has to be one of the most amazing AMD overclocks I've seen in a long time.Quote:

This is the same chip that did the 21k on the orb, I was limited to voltage so I put it in my KD7 to find out how good it was. So unless the NF7 comes up with more voltage then 2V I'm going to have to do 3D runs at 198x15 so I dought I will get much out of the KD7, who knows.
Good point, let me work on that:DQuote:

According to the P-rating application from ocinside it would be a 4198+
Not sure about the multi issue there OPP.... I THINK with an unlocked pally you have all the multis, but i am not SURE of that.
2.2vcore.. I see that thing screaming.............
OMG =]
I WANT one of these, bummer i can't cough up the money for it though :( ... haven't even seen these cpu's on the dutch market :/ ..
Suposedly you can, but you may need a V1.1 8RDA+ and 8RDA2C16 BIOS.Quote:

holy jesus...
dude, get a board and run that thing.
show us what it really can do ;)
Hey Opp is that the chip that you cut the L12 bridge on? If so do you think that had anything to do with reaching the 3100+ speeds?
I thought the AIUHB was a better stepping than the AIUGB's.
I guess you changed my mind. Awesome work OPP! :toast:
-edited, G instead of C-
AIUGB 0245 is what he said it is.
OMG thats just awesome
bump
OPP:)
Excellent work my man:thumbsup:
The EPoX 8RDA+ was good except for one problem I experienced:
Multipliers between 13 and 14 did not work....everything else did lower and higher, thats why I never ran 3D with mine at a top overclock, because I could not run optimum FSB speeds AND top cpu overclock. You'll have to go over to AOA forums and see what the current consensus is as far as the latest bios's.
Randi:D
Excellent job OPP!:toast:
I find it quite annoying that boards and chips are showing up where it is impossible to get many multiplier/FSB combinations to work. Whose fault is it, AMD's or the mobo maker's?
DDTUNG:cool:
I'd say motherboard manufacturers. As far as AMD is concerned, the chip has 1 multiplier, the one it came with. Too bad...:(
Yikes! You've got your 9700 at 490/358 OPP? That's incredible...
What does JC have his at?
@ opp
for the epox the c16 bios does the trick for you;)
with that bios you can change all multiplier, also 13 to 15!!!!
the c16 bios has had some contradictory results...
Its one of those you try and see if fo you its better than c10 or not...
on mine the c16 disabled sound and lan, same for a lot of others...
But it has been the best overclocker as Baller02 says....
JC's raddy is at 495/393 for his 22k runQuote:

The 8RDA2C16 bios should do it - that is what I have at the moment and it unlocks high multi's ...Quote:

I think OPP just got a lucky center-of-the-wafer chip :P Bastid!
