I wont even boot in cas 2.5, i think isnt the same problem. :confused:Quote:

Yeah, my bad.
Form my experiences with DOS version Memtest (not actually DOS version, just sort of anyway), it is ok for pre-screening the RAM's stability, if the RAM failed, the chance to boot Windows will be very low. If paseed, no guarantee the success to Windows, though.
I have a pair of G.Skill GBGH, can do memtest all passed, DDR424, 2-2-2-5, 3.1V, DRAM drive stength from 3-8, but for any value higher than 4, BSOD for sure, 100%.
I am running the OCZ Platinum Rev. 2 right now as well, on DFI Ultra-D, OCZ 520W PSU, at FSB 280, 2.5-4-3-5, Vdimm 2.51V, doing OK. May be it is time for RMA.
Issue is maxxxracer has modules that need a new SPD, nothing more.
SPD is dead... now that is wierd. tony you have any idea how exactly the SPD can die like that?
Its not dead, you just need a reprogram thats all.
oh cool. so you guys are jsut gonna reprogram it for me? Sounds good. Time for some 1:1 2.5-3-3-7 action.
lol dont thing so ^^^^
how do you go about re-programming it though?!?
I guess bigtoe is the OCZ tech team, for a company like that, they do have machine to program the SPD.
I think I have the same problem with my Geil Ultra X TCCD.
They don't do cas 2,5 timings anymore, only cas 2. I can boot into windows with cas 2,5 but get an automatic reboot.
I have been trying 2,92-3,1vdimm , which wasn't a great idea so it seems.
Is this fixable with an SPD reprogram?
too bad , they did 275 2,5-3-3 or 285 2,5-4-3.
Currently running at 2-3-3-6 238Mhz
I have a very similar problem with my Plat rev.2.
In the past the ram ran at 300mhz 2.5-4-3-6 at 2.9V full stable.
Currently they only run at 267mhz 2.5-4-3-6.... but at 2-3-3-6 is stable at equals mhz, and in single chanel one stick can do 300 2.5-4-3-6 and the other 332 2.5-4-3-6..
SPD reprogram could be the solution??
Hi!
I have the same problem. cas 2.5 is no go. OCZ platinium R2 3200
I used to run 2.5-4-3-7 320MHz 3.0V.
Now its only stable at cas 2.
I really do think you have TCC5 Max...as it tends to scale higher on cas 2.
So if i understand the problem correctly, single sticks work fine at 2.5...but in dc the dont ?
Perkam
I bought 2x512 Adata PC4800 used, and they seem to have the same problem.. Anything above cas 2 will make it fail, so I can only run 2-3-3-5 @235MHz.. I dont know how much vdimm the former used featet it with though..
I can get it stable in Dos based memtest86 for hours at minimum 2.5-3-3-7 @270 2.8v vdimm. In windows it wail reboot at any speed as long as I dont use cas 2.
So I guess I have exactly the same problem as u guys have.. I may send em to RMA then. Or if I can get a reprogram it would be nice!
guys,
test your TCCD sticks individually , single channel.
In my case, only one stick went bad. the other one is still ok , 290Mhz 2,5-3-3-6
I also have this issue
I can run either stick at cas 2.5 individually, but putting them in together wont work. I cant even boot to anything, i get the first bios screen but not the second (showing device IRQs etc) and thus cant boot to windows/memtest.
sounds like if they have to be sent back to OCZ i have little chance here in australia
edit: testing 240 2-3-3-7 at the moment. Wish i had tried this before, its working fine  my cpu max is around 2.5 anyway so 10x240 is good. If this is stable might try a bit higher but im reasonably happy for the moment :)
If there was some way i could get my ram reprogrammed anyway that'd be good, but id rather not have to send my ram internationally to do it.
Same issue here. I think my sticks work in single channel in 2.5 but definately not dual channel. When in dual channel at CAS 2.5 either it won't boot, or occasionally it will boot but blue-screen before reaching windows.
So what is the consensus on this? RMA? can it definately be fixed with just a reprogramming? MaxxRacer have you gotten this resolved? bigtoe - anything?
List your config so we may have a look see if there is something else going wrong

For a summary:
PC-DL with (2) 2.4 xeons at 3ghz (known stable up to 3.4)
fortron 550w power supply
nothing else important
Two sticks of the OCZ 3200 Plat Rev2 run fine in single/dual channel at 2225, and I believe run fine in single channel 2.5-3-3-7 but not dual channel CAS 2.5
I have memtested each stick individually at default (200, 2225, 2.7 volts) and passed 7+ hours and 40 passes just fine, and also passes dual channel memtest and prime95 testing in windows.
When I attempt both sticks at CAS 2.5 it won't boot, or maybe will boot once in 10 tries but blue-screen before windows.
I swapped the memory quickly to my NCCH-DL and it showed the same symptoms, booted fine into windows apparently stable at 2225, restart -> bios -> change CAS to 2.5 -> save are restart -> no boot.
Pop me an email m8, lets you get sorted out ;)Quote:

I have the same symptoms, i can even run at 240mhz 2-3-3-7, but 2.5-3-3-7 at 200 is no go.
Can run the sticks individually at 2.5-3-3-7 single channel fine, just not together in DC.
Bigtoe can you give some advice as to what i can do, given that im in australia?
I got the rma and everything, but UPS decided to be the morons they are today and not deliver the package and now it says it is delivered somwhere else..
tony, can you guys start using fedex.. UPS is the worst service to ever exist on the face of the planet..
Maxxracer, u have exactly the same pb which i've experienced by using DFI Ultra-D.
My old Adata TCCD (week 49) goes well with cas 2.5 on MSI Neo2 but since i change to DFI UltraD the same pb was happened.
My comp refuse to boot if CAS setting is other than 1.5 or 2. In fact in memetest they do 310 2.5-3-3-7@2.7v but to boot in to Windows they needed at least 3.1v. I mean everything was fine before using DFI NF4. If u have a chance to have another TCCD kit, u'd better use them with your MSI then your TCCD would run correctly. But if u let they go with DFI NF4 first then the same pb will occured.
Here are some intersting scr of my Adata
