So much for 2.6v eh? Get me a cpu-z.
I'm currently running the same as Major is. Same ram. 8-3-3-3-1T at 280mhz with just 2.6v. Memtest stable and F@H stable so far. I'm worn out and will be going to bed in a few. I'll let F@H run all night and hope that works out well. :D
I'm going to give it another try later this afternoon. I think I may revisit some other BIOS versions too.
If anyone has any experience with this ram and tref, drive strength, bios revisions, voltages, etc. please chime in with some info ;)
Yeah, 280mhz wasn't stable in F@H. So I reverted back to 275mhz. I'll try prime95 a little later and superpi. I have a lot to do other than this today so I may not be able to spend much time on it.
On my SLI-DR it is automatically setting 3120 as my TREF. I read a few other people in the 2GB database have been running the same too.
What are you running for TREF Major? I've just been running mine at 3120.
Ive tried every one of them. the 704-3 seems to be the best for meQuote:

I´d say, play with tREF :).
Do you guys think removing the spreader and using a fan over the ram in any case, would be better off? Sometimes the spreaders just trap the heat more than anything else.

I'm having problems getting it stable at 275 for superpi... Tweaking now..Quote:

is that the ram? if not, would you mind posting a link to it?
I remember there was one post on futuremark forums where some guy got like 280 3-2-2-x on ballistix 2GB
Proof? I wanna see that :cool:Quote:

@DriveEuro I'm just using Auto for drive strengths and 3120 for Tref. I've not tried to play with Tref much since 3120 seems to work fine. But I would like to know what drive strength it's defaulting too.
I'm at the office right now but will be heading home after lunch to play :D
I'm going to drop the multi down to 9x and see if I can get a PI32 to pass.
I had pretty good success with the 704-2 bios too and may flash back to play with it some.

That's what I was able to do. Accidently hit the OK button when SuperPI was finished though. :(
What happens at 2.5-3-3?
These are the Tracer version which now Crucial says are marked "discontinuing", but they still show the non tracer version as current but still no stock.Quote:

Rule of thumb is 1.5x - 2.0x the size of your RAM. So 2gb of ram would be 3gb - 4gb.
No pagefile for 2 giga. It runs betterQuote:

Can you guys get the dividers to work with this memory?
I have some of the Crucial Value 1GB Micron based sticks and they seem to tank on me with dividers, although I cant tell if it is the CPU + Mem which is givin me probs.
So I guess THIS IS the best 1x1GB RAM toady? Average results are amazing (270mhz +++).
dividers workQuote:
