Looks like a good chip, what stepping? and is it stable at 3.0gig?
Thanks :)

Nice very nice, though unless it's stable mean :banana::banana::banana: all really.
Im sure i could get mine to 2.8ghz with 1.5Vcore, but it wouldn't be stable.
Ive got just 1.365 for 10x261, so beat that on air! :p:
Looks like it's only prime stable through 2.83GHz @<1.55V. Doesn't look like higher voltages have been tested.
Of course, 3 GHz is not stable. Just wanted to show that such suicide screens are nothing special for X2. ;)
With 1.75V I could get up to 3100-3150 MHz for suicide, I think.
Getting past 2860 MHz on water is quite difficult. 2800 MHz 10 hours and more dual-primestable with 1.520V no problem at all. But 40-60 MHz more are limited by the the worse core.
Yeah my cpu volt mod is deff in order this week. Gotta do that :D And mem! :D
I want 310 x 10! hehe
After that 3 GHz suicide, here is something stable with watercooling ... :)

Stepping please?!?
My X2 4400+ is "was" stable at 2950Mhz with 1.77v on Prommi mach 2 GT .
Here is a screeny at 3100Mhz same setup...
nice chip u got there :D ...

VERY impressive! :)
Wouldn't a Vapo LS Rev 1 be better than a GT? It's a lil warmer but it can take a lot more load (which *might* be a concern with these X2s).
ummm, that's just insane. congrats on awesome chip :)
Welp, I've been testing my WC and it's not a tad better for my OC...
Temps are lower (not sure by how much exactly, room is much hotter and only the load temps are lower, usually by 10C or so). I don't know what is holding me back...but it's pissing me off. I added voltage, nothing, I took away voltage, nothing, I changed the LDT multi to 3x (unable to break 252x11, 277*10, nor 308*9...so I know it's my CPU and not my TCCD [I ran 3-4-4-8 2T timings to be sure, which is WAY loose for my 4800LA]), still nothing.
Anyway, I can run 3D benches at a whopping 20MHz higher now. SPI, Prime, Systool, etc all still crap out at 2770ish.
Believe it or not...I'm considering going back to stock cooling for my CPU just so my 7800GTX can have a colder loop...
I've tried reseating twice (each time I got slightly colder temps) and my OC still won't budge. Could it be my board?
Of note is that 275x10 is COMPLETELY stable for everything I've tried so far at 2.5-3-3-5...wtf? This is about 100MHz higher than air and at less voltage...more aggressive setups have not been tested for utter stability yet.
As good as my 4400+ was on air, it's a bum on water. Before it's 24/7 stability wasn't great but it's top end was while now the 24/7 is great and the top end is only SLIGHTLY better.
Anyway, I'm leaving on a roadtrip Sunday morning so I'll be away from testing and I'll have lots of time to think about it for when I return.
Hiya
I'm kinda a noob @ overclocking,
yesterday I recieved my 4400+ and went OC'n right away :)
but because I don't have a 24 pin PSU I can't get my vdimm higher than 3.2 volt. (my OCZ PC-4000 Gold VX needs 3.3 to run @ 250 FSB)
So my max FSB for the moment is 245 mhz with multiplier x11 = 2700 mhz with 1.55 volts , cas 2-2-2-5
Superpi 1M stable = 31.015 seconds (almost 30 :( )
This is with stock cooling !
Btw half hour ago I was doing some superpi @ 1.6 v and realized I forgot to plug in my CPU fan :slapass:
I was benching superpi @ 2700 mhz @ 1.6 volt on passive stockcooling!
temps were 47° :)
Nice stockcooling AMD has !
offcourse there was a 92mm fan blowen a bit over the heatsink as it also blowing over my memory.
What you guys think?
Looks like you got a decent chip gigolas. :D
hi guys, just got my 4400+ today, the chip is CCBWE 0525UPMW. Just wondering if any of you had it, and what was the overclock you were getting with it. I'm still waiting for my PSU and my RAM, so I can't play with it :'( !!!
Take that IHS off and you might hit 3 GHz STABLE
Man I will be saddened... lolQuote:

Mucho heat dump I say, it is blazingly fast at this speed at least though :P
If I do so, can I still use the stock cooling?Quote:

very nice chip, I'll be looking for same stepping and hoping to get close to the results
for mine 4800+ (brought it from andreyang)
with IHS can do 2.8G @ 1.39 prime95 x2 stable
but without IHS, still can not do 3G @ any voltage stable even single pi 1M.....
very very hard to OC dual core
I remember when 3GHz on a single core was a big deal
