no really, what would the size of that package be? and if those cores were made using a 90nm process, how big would they be? just for giggles and kicks of course. :toast:

With a 'supposed' Quad Core configuration......I think using 60nm cores wud be more pratical :)
is there any info on 7800s with 512mb ?
im really tempted to buy a 7800 right now but id loose to much money if i had to sell it again for a 512mb card later
:D Take it easy ppl - the 7800 will be history in September....... ;)
:toast:
7800 with 512MB? Well, the rumors go the 7800U (G71) will be equipped with half a gig of Samsung GDDR3, at unknown clocks (800Mhz mayhap?). At least according to the inq. You be the judge.

HARDCORECLOCKER > I'm not as sure. If G71 really lives up to the specs, it's not impossible it'll end up above R520. Unless it's named 7900U ofc, then you'd still be right. :DQuote:

however, fx-57 was released in conjunction with g70. and within a certain market, they usually release the products about the same in order to compete, trying to be the better company at all times (i e getting all the sales).
But it was ok to pay that much for X8's and 6800's?

my point being that prices have been out of control for a while now.
As long as people keep on paying these high prices, they'll keep on raising them.
If you think they're high now, BFG says we'll see the high end next gen hit $1200!!!
What triggered such an enormous uprise?... They sold EVERY 512mb 6800ultra, at an outragous $1000 a pop! It's like blood in a shark pool. Some people will pay anything for bragging rights, and because of it we're gonna all get hit with the effects of it!
not me!!! Thats crazy  500$ is as high as i go :slap: and thats to much :slapass:
Market spoilers man.......we are gonna suffer bigtime. The freakin currency is now USD$1 = SGD$1.70......!!!! Wtf.....is US$1200 goin to be for me......!!!!
:cussing: :cussing: :cussing:

Is that what I think it is......... :p:
In Sweden we already pay $750 USD for a 7800GTX.
That's where the less money you're paying for broadband access are going :).
