Nice, so we will actually have a choice for high performance Crossfire boards soon. I prefer the mosfet solution of the gruper baord, as it eases cooling the suckers, and like the red and white scheme of it, but this certainly looks promising if sapphire don't deliever.
Well, that would depend on your SETUP wouldnt it ? For ME that mem slot would be perfect. Have a ATX mobo in CM Stacker installed in the BTX side = CPU and MEM on the bottom of my case.Quote:

Kinda skeptical of the 5v rail for vdimm. If you're using less than ~3.2v, you're not supposed to run with the 4v jumper on current DFI NF4 boards because it causes instability. Everyone knows the mandatory cooling required if you're running more than 3.2vdimm on the mosfet... Now that you're unable to choose which rail to use, you're doomed either way - instability below 3.2v, overheating above 3.2v if no active cooling is used.
Unless DFI finally starts using some quality components, or maybe using a 2phase setup for the vdimm? lol, doesn't look like it though. I just hope they ironed out the bugs...
hehe no 4-pin connector...........look a lil closer to the 24-pin connector.....there is a nice almost invisible black 8-pin connector

That 4 pin floppy connector just makes it look like ass while installing it in the case. I think this time around, im going to make a custom floppy power cable and get it out of the way once and for all.

Now you mention XP-120 it looks like that'll be very a nice combo with this board, as it'll cool the mosfet heatsinks around it
good looking board. By comparing it with a photo of a NF4 board, it looks like they just rotated the CPU socket and DIMM slots. Would have been nice to leave the CPU orientation alone and move the DIMM slots so an XP-120 would fit any which way no matter what DIMM slots were being populated.
So the natural question is: why didn't DFI make the memory voltage regulation on the nF4 identical to this board?
Well with all the issues people are having and the complaints they are getting they probably figured it would be best to go back to just using the 5V like they used on their NF2 boards because it worked fine...
The board looks good, I want it :D But it has an 8 pin connector... Do OCZ powerstreams have an 8 pin plug?
Slightly scary the lack of the 3.3v molex and 12v connectors and the p4 connector.
umm if i have to buy a new psu with an 8 pin, no thanks, I'll stick to my AN8 SLI or see wat Sapphire has to offer. I've spent enough on my PCPC 510 SLI.

This board is probably able to run off a 20 pin PSU with no 8-pin connector.
looks good, i was originally going to get this but i have sold mu gigabyte k8nf-9 and bought a ultra-d for the time being.
One more thing, i know this new board is all about crossfire and Ati chipset and stuff but can a nvidia card or nvidia sli be used on this board?
The 24pin is not an issue. Theres an 8 pin connector instead of the usual p4 connector right by the 24pin connector. Major turn off if that's the case.Quote:
