huh??? higher tras is NOT faster and I do not know what you meant by it has to do with speed but not stability?!?!? :slap: different ram respond differently to the tras, but since we're talking about Redline here... as I said I found no gain or lost to alter the tras, but 0~5 throw off random error in prime....that's what I found with my Redline anyway.
Ok, the higher the more stable generally, we know that, but I'm saying for best performance you also don't want it extremely low, as in less than 6, it will decrease performance by having it so low. It may not be noticible unless you do alot of tests because it is just one variable, but the difference is there, and there is absolutly no point in having it so low.

You probably changed it by mistake... They are right next to eachother in BIOS :)
just what I wanted to see also, ( i guess I could have done that myself and posted it, but my sticks flew away before I thought about it, or before anyone asked, hehe) good info, I'll be sticking with 1t and a gig atm, all I play is frozen throne, ;) Btw, that tras thing was funny, hehe. Can u try it on bios 2-17? as u can't set 2t on it, I wonder if it will work at all. (again wishing I would have tried it myself.)
tras 2 gives me gains over a tras of 5 (fastest "accepted" tras value other than 0 on 754 boards) and is also faster than 0, 10, 11 (old nF2 standby that gave good sisoft results), or 6-8.
I havent noticed any difference in max clocks or stability anywhere from 0-13 so far...

Why are you using a TRP of 6? With it that high I imagine that pretty much any decent ram could run 4x512M at high speeds.
JNav, could you please post your a64 tw. screen with those 2GB of redline?
The rest of the BIOS settings would be appreciated too!
